| Machine translation technology has developed rapidly in recent years and is favored by more and more language service providers.According to the Report on the Development of Language Services in China(2020),98 percent of language service providers use machine translation with varying frequencies.But the quality of machine translation is not as good as that of human translation.Therefore,with the mode of combining machine translation and post-translation editing,it can not only exert the advantages of machine translation efficiency but also guarantee the quality of human translation.To this end,The School of Humanities of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics specially invited Ms.Wang Wenjing from Yi CAT company to give a special lecture on post-translation editing and localization technology.The author also completed this practice report based on this.In view of the above situation,the author conducted the simultaneous interpretation practice of the lecture in the simultaneous interpretation laboratory of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics.Based on Gile’s Effort Model,this paper talked about the problems encountered by the author in interpreting tasks and proposes countermeasures in the stage of source language reception.This paper makes a reflection and summary on the problems of omission and attention deficit in the process of translation.Finally,the author concludes that in addition to the essential Chinese and English-speaking skills,it is also crucial to the good application of interpreting strategies and concludes that background knowledge is positively correlated with interpreters’ responses.The author focuses on analyzing the existing problems through specific examples,hoping that the Gile’s Effort Model presented in this report can provide reference for interpreting learners to provide reference and enlightenment for future such interpreting activities. |
