In recent years, the extreme climate caused by climate change has made more and more people realize the seriousness of climate change, and "carbon neutral" "emission peak" have become buzzwords. In the Post-Pandemic era,the sustainable development of humanity is more urgent.Ban Ki-moon,the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations, delivered a lecture titled "COVID-19,Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality" at Yale University, offering new solutions for tackling climate change and achieving carbon neutrality under the current situation. This report is based on the simulated consecutive interpretation of COVID-19,Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality and its Q&A session. The author records the interpretation process. This report includes five parts: task description, translation process, theoretical basis, case analysis and translation summary. With Interpretative Theory as the theoretical support, the author explores the solutions to the common problems in the simulation practice by combining interpretation techniques such as addition, subtraction and free translation. This report discusses the application of Interpretative Theory in English-Chinese interpretation, hoping to help interpreters better break away from the shell of the source language in the process of interpretation, avoid stiff word-to-word translation, transfer the meaning of the source language more flexibly and accurately, and accumulate experience for similar interpretation practice in the future.
