With the accelerating process of globalization,social crisis has spread to all directions and has become an unavoidable problem for colleges and universities.Therefore,colleges and universities should normalize and process emergency management of crisis events.To prevent and resolve the public crisis in colleges and universities needs to make overall design and reasonable consideration.From the static system construction to the dynamic operation procedure,from the composition of professional personnel to the extensive social support,it is an interrelated and interactive system engineering.Therefore,colleges and universities need to make more scientific and detailed emergency plans,simplify the flashy and dogmatic contents,pursue the effectiveness and applicability of the plans,strengthen public crisis education,and enhance public relations crisis awareness.Colleges and universities should combine the local actual situation and social resources,take the road of crisis emergency management with their own characteristics,and establish a variety of linkage mechanisms to expand the social coordination system of public crisis prevention and resolution in colleges and universities.This is not only conducive to improving the emergency management system of university crisis events,but also to promoting efficient and stable development;Conducive to the construction of a safe campus,to ensure the safety of all teachers and students;It is helpful to improve the ability of teachers and students to cope with crisis.In short,it is also a stabilization and enrichment of the emergency management system of public crisis events in colleges and universities.With the outbreak of novel coronavirus’ s epidemic in 2020,colleges and universities in China and even around the world almost shut down,making the word "emergency management of colleges and universities" enter people’s field of vision again.This thesis takes a university in Hunan as the object of investigation and research.Through the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and individual interview,this thesis first expounds the background of this topic,research significance,related concepts and theoretical support.Then take a university as an example to conduct an in-depth investigation and analysis on the current situation,problems and causes of emergency management in colleges and universities under the background of novel coronavirus epidemic situation;finally,combined with the results of investigation and analysis,the thesis puts forward countermeasures and suggestions with pertinence and applicability for emergency management in colleges and universities,so as to provide reference and reference for other colleges and universities to improve their emergency management ability.
