China’s Economic Diplomacy To Vietnam(1949-1978)

After the founding of New China,China began to carry out economic diplomacy.As a neighboring country of China,Vietnam has important strategic significance to China in terms of geographical location,and has become an important partner of China’s economic diplomacy outside the team.Under the all-round diplomatic layout of"periphery is the priority,developing countries are the foundation",the historical trajectory of China’s economic foreign trade with Vietnam is of great significance to China’s courtesy to foreign economic foreign trade.Using the economic diplomacy theory as the theoretical basis,the article analyzes the development and changes of China’s economic diplomacy to Vietnam from 1949 to 1978 from three forms of economic diplomacy:economic aid,economic cooperation and economic sanctions.First,I briefly understood the background and motivation of China and Vietnam’s economic diplomacy after the founding of New China,and then conducted an all-round and multilevel combing and analysis of China’s economic aid,economic cooperation and economic sanctions to Vietnam from 1949 to 1978.From 1949 to 1978,China’s economic diplomacy to Vietnam was a process in which China mainly used economic aid,supplemented by economic cooperation,and used economic sanctions with restraint.The study found that from 1949 to 1978,China’s economic diplomacy to Vietnam won China an ally in the socialist camp,further guaranteed national security,consolidated China’s position in the socialist camp,broadened China’s foreign diplomatic relations,and promoted China’s own economic development It also enhances China’s soft power in the international community.At the same time,from 1949 to 1978,China’s economic diplomacy towards Vietnam also had deficiencies and problems.It is necessary for China and Vietnam to coordinate together to establish a mutually beneficial and win-win relationship in economic diplomacy,and promote the smooth operation and coordinated development of China-Vietnam relations through cooperation.The research results and practical effects of the economic diplomacy will make economic diplomacy better serve China’s foreign exchanges and economic construction,and play an important role in China’s overall foreign exchanges.
