With the deepening of the information technology application in teaching.The application ability of information technology has become a necessary professional ability for teacher,also become the crux of achieving the fusion of information technology and history-teaching and promoting the reform of history course.Therefore,In the critical period of the educational information’s transforming and upgrading,It is necessary to conduct in-depth investigation on the front-line teaching,investigate the current situation and problems of high-school history teacher’s application ability of information technology.Put forward pertinence improvement strategies according to the practical situation and the needs of teachers.Through the questionnaire survey and individual interviews of 188 first-line high school history teachers in 7 cities in Shandong Province,the article deeply analyzes the extant problem of the application ability of information technology from five dimensions: the technology literacy,planning and preparation,organization and management,assessment and diagnosis,learning and development.The study found that the current situation of high school history teachers using information teaching equipment is relatively optimistic,and the application ability of information technology at the high level,but the development of the five dimensions is unbalanced,and there are significant differences in gender,teaching age,educational background,professional title,school’s position and other aspects.Research points out that there are five problems in high-school history teacher’s ability of applying information technology,the high-school history teachers’ application ability of information technology development is unbalance,the ability of integrating information technology and history teaching is weak,the way to handle the relationship between information technology and teaching elements is incorrect,the understanding of information technology application ability is limited,the right way to improve ability to is unfounded.And the reason is the teacher is short in education teaching concept,professional quality,training consciousness,the school is lack in teaching environment equipment configuration,management,training activities,and the society is unfilled in the supervision inspection,power transfer,the absence of resource balance.Therefore,the study believes that effectively improving high-school history teacher’s application ability of information technology requires the joint efforts of teachers,schools and society.Firstly,The teacher should take the initiative to update their teaching ideas,improve the ability of operating and carry out new teaching modes.Secondly,The school should provide teachers with a suitable working environment for development,which including the material environment of advanced teaching equipment,high-quality educational resource,scientific management system and rich teaching research activities.Finally,The state and society should strengthen the leadership,overall-planing the training of the schoolmaster’s information technology leadership,design a complete training program,and mobilize forces and resources to realize the effective improvement of teachers’ ability and the sharing of educational resources.
