After the promulgation of Geography Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 edition revised in 2020),the core literacy of geography has been attached importance.The gap period of geography learning leads to the disconnection of geography learning between junior and senior high schools,and the serious forgetting of basic knowledge.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out the research of geography teaching connection between junior and senior high schools.Since the adoption of new textbooks in 2019,there have been few studies on the human geography connection between middle and high schools.This paper aims to reduce the span of the cultivation of geography core literacy and promote the smooth connection of geography between junior and senior high schools under the background of new textbooks by conducting research on the connection of human geography between junior and senior high schools.This paper firstly combs the relevant literature at home and abroad and analyzes the experience of teaching connection.Based on relevant research,the concept of geography core literacy and human geography connection between middle and high schools is defined.Secondly,it sorted out the contents that could be connected between compulsory geography in senior high school and geography in junior high school to help students systematically learn compulsory geography II human geography knowledge.A questionnaire survey was conducted geography teachers and students of senior high school.It was found that the students believed that the human geography knowledge of junior and senior high schools was closely related,and they agreed with the cohesive teaching method.The knowledge reserve and cohesive consciousness of senior high school geography teachers were conducive to the development of cohesive teaching.However,there are still some problems: high school geography teachers have low frequency of teaching connection in daily teaching,and their application scope is not wide;In view of the lack of cultivation of junior middle school geography core literacy and the lack of students’ cognition of the concept and connotation of core literacy,due to the tight curriculum arrangement and heavy teaching tasks,the cohesion teaching of students’ geography core literacy cannot be effectively carried out.Students think that there is a big difference in geography difficulty between junior and senior high schools,so they have not found an effective way to connect geography knowledge and core literacy of the subject.According to the existing problems,corresponding strategies are put forward: from the perspective of knowledge content,the special topic sorting part is further condensed and summarized,and the knowledge can be connected,and the "review" section is set up before class by using the connected points.From the perspective of teaching methods,skillfully use maps with cohesive relations to cultivate regional cognition;Attach importance to integration and comparative analysis of cohesive content to improve students’ comprehensive thinking;Create a situation to improve students’ interest in learning;From the perspective of the cultivation of geographic core literacy,the core literacy can be cultivated by developing school-based courses,passing through the gap period of geography,setting up geographical experiments,experiencing the process of knowledge production and so on.Finally,two teaching cases of "population distribution" and "agricultural location factors and their changes" are designed to connect the teaching with the human geography content of compulsory Second high school Geography in Human Education Edition.Through the implementation of the case,the senior one students can master more systematic knowledge and enrich the research of human geography teaching cohesion.
