Orff music education system has been widely used in many countries since its emergence in the 1930s.After it was introduced into China in the 1980s,it has had a profound impact on China’s music education reform.Sound gesture,as a major feature of its system,has also attracted a lot of attention in recent ten years,and the relevant applied research has gradually increased.The author conducted teaching practice in Suzhou P middle school during his postgraduate study.Through questionnaires,classroom observation and other means,the author learned that the teaching mode of the school is single and the students’ classroom participation is not high.Therefore,the author applied momentum teaching to the classroom and carried out research in combination with the requirements of the curriculum standard,the physiological and psychological characteristics of junior and middle school students and the cultural background of the school The combination of dance forms makes an in-depth exploration of the teaching process,reflects and summarizes the shortcomings of practice,and comes to the conclusion that the application of Orff sound gesture teaching in junior middle school can effectively mobilize students’ enthusiasm,enrich the teaching mode,and provide ideas for improving the quality of music teaching in junior middle school.
