Carrying out the whole book reading teaching helps students develop good reading habits.As an excellent tradition of Chinese teaching in China,the whole book reading is proved to be an effective carrier to improve core literacy of Chinese subject.Based on the characteristics of heavy reading tasks and long reading cycles in this reading form,the curriculum implementation path is suitable for the development of teaching activities.To show the whole book reading in the form of curriculum,we should make clear the core concepts,find theoretical support,analyze the essential characteristics and determine the teaching significance.We need to carry out teaching activities based on the core literacy of Chinese subject,designing a complete teaching plan from the four perspectives of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching process and teaching evaluation,and implement teaching and reflection teaching for specific teaching cases.Based on the present situation of junior high school students’ reading,this paper chooses Plague as the main research object of the whole book reading teaching.The author formulates teaching objectives based on the four dimensions of language construction and application,thinking development and promotion,aesthetic appreciation and creation,and cultural inheritance and understanding.Besides,six kinds of classes and learning topics are designed.Around the teaching objectives,the author designs six types of classes,including the class of inspiring interest,of guiding the whole book to read,of guiding problem exploration,of expanding content,of in-depth discussion and of carrying out practical activities.At the same time,this article also contains six learning topics.Its main contents are to carry out the guiding reading of Plague,grasp the content of Plague,answer students ’ questions,introduce Camus,deeply study Plague,and carry out relevant practical activities.In the process of reading teaching,the teacher skillfully integrated the whole book reading concepts such as setting learning situations,carrying out multiple evaluations,and exercising speculative reading into teaching activities,and guided students to comprehensively use various reading strategies to read the whole book.On the basis of summarizing experience,this paper puts forward seven teaching suggestions for the reading of the whole book,paying attention to the systematic construction of the reading teaching process,the application of project group learning model,the connection between reading and life,the innovation and development of reading promotion strategies,the role of teachers in guiding the needle,improving teachers’ ability of text interpretation,and the design of creative reading notes.
