Evaluation is an effective method to assist reading in China since ancient times.It is also a means to inspire thinking,activate thinking,record feelings and exchange views.In the current Chinese teaching,guiding students to appropriately study and use the method of evaluation to read the text plays an important role in further improving students’ learning enthusiasm,inheriting excellent Chinese culture and cultivating their Chinese core literacy.At the same time,it is also a beneficial attempt in the teaching method of reading.Modern prose is a very important style in junior middle school Chinese teaching materials.It has the characteristics of wide distribution,large length,various types and different forms.Therefore,the relevant research of selecting modern prose style for the teaching of evaluation reading has high coverage and certain significant representation for the teaching materials.Through the investigation of the actual situation of modern prose teaching(especially the use of evaluation reading method)in junior middle school,we know that modern prose teaching as a whole has carried forward the excellent teaching tradition and made many solid achievements,such as teachers having a strong sense of quality improvement,paying attention to the inheritance and innovation of evaluation reading method,and pay more attention to evaluation reading method at the school level,etc;of course,there are still some problems,such as the solidification of teaching mode,teachers’ insufficient understanding of the role of evaluation,students’ less understanding of evaluation reading method,lack of interest,insufficient communication of classroom evaluation,insufficient feedback of classroom evaluation,insufficient use of extracurricular transfer of evaluation reading,etc.In terms of methods,some of these problems belong to the general teaching mode,and some are the application of evaluation reading method;In terms of style,some belong to the style itself of modern prose,and some are common problems in the teaching of other styles,with certain commonality and universality.Therefore,this study also has certain enlightening significance for the teaching of other styles.The survey also found that there are not many practical cases of modern prose reading teaching using the method of evaluation,and its practices and experience need to be explored and summarized.Although the evaluation reading method is a traditional reading method in China,its mode of thinking and some characteristics of specific implementation,especially when it is applied to teaching activities,are also in line with some theories and ideas of philosophy,psychology and pedagogy in modern society,such as the guiding ideology of constructivist learning theory,reception aesthetic theory and Chinese curriculum standard.The evaluation reading teaching method tries to combine the traditional reading method with the requirements of modern reading teaching,using the traditional reading method to guide students to realize personalized interpretation and improve students’ reading ability.It can improve the effect of modern prose reading teaching in junior middle school to a certain extent and solve the problems.Its specific application strategies roughly include: improving teachers’ attention to the teaching of evaluation reading,teaching students the form and angle of evaluation reading,selecting the entry point of modern prose evaluation reading,standardizing the classroom teaching process of modern prose evaluation reading,perfecting the evaluation mechanism of modern prose evaluation reading,etc.The content in the relevant lesson examples of famous teachers can convincingly show the vividness and effectiveness of this reading method.As the relevant teaching design of front-line teachers,it also presents the grass-roots practical significance of this method to a certain extent.It is hoped that personal design and famous experts’ cases will jointly highlight the practical utility of the application of evaluation reading teaching in modern prose teaching in junior middle school,give theoretical researchers some practical support,and provide some specific methods,strategies and enlightenment for interested practical users.
