| Wang Songquan,a famous modern language educator and former secretary-general of the Professional Committee of Language Teaching Methodology of the China Education Association,has been engaged in language education research for a long time,working quietly and selflessly.His research covers many fields such as language curriculum theory,language textbook development,language teaching methods,language teacher training,etc.He has made fruitful research results in each of these fields and has made important contributions to promoting the reform and development of contemporary Chinese language education.Wang Songquan’s ideas on language teaching have taken shape in the context of a changing society and a transforming discipline,and are inextricably linked to the accumulation,creation,and maturation of his ideas on language teaching and research.The most characteristic features of Wang Songquan’s language teaching thought are his theory of language board book and his view of language reading teaching.Wang Songquan’s theoretical construction of board calligraphy provides a theoretical foundation for the"reapplication" of the board in the current context.Wang Songquan’s practical application of language board calligraphy includes the application of language board calligraphy in language teaching and the application of language board calligraphy in language design.Wang Songquan’s view of language reading teaching includes three aspects:the theory of the nature of reading,the theory of reading teaching objectives,and the theory of reading teaching methods.The theory of reading nature clarifies that reading is "the intersection of two lines of sight",reading is an emotional activity,and reading is a communicative activity.The theory of reading teaching objectives clarifies the overall goal of reading teaching as a whole and the stage goals of imparting knowledge,training ability and cultivating attitude.The methodological theory of reading teaching includes three teaching methods,namely,inquiry teaching method,main and concurrent teaching method,and board book and illustration guide method,as well as the innovative "two" reading teaching method and "four followers","three directions" and "seven pairs".The innovative "two-ization" reading teaching method and the"four-following" "three-way" "seven-dual" reading teaching method optimization theory.Wang Songquan’s teaching ideas can help overcome the shortcomings of weakening the board book in the information era and strengthen language use;it can help overcome the shortcomings of teaching methods and objectives of reading teaching and enhance core literacy.His language board book science enlightens us:designing different types of board books according to the content of teaching,exploring the path of integrating information technology and traditional board books,constructing a unified scientific and artistic evaluation system,and using the form of board books to help language teachers’ professional growth.His view of language reading teaching enlightens us:to clarify reading objectives and create realistic contexts;to put equal emphasis on self-learning and co-learning,and to implement the "two-way" teaching method;to make good use of the art of white space to enhance the aesthetics of teaching;and to make good use of board illustrations to help reading teaching. |
