| National figures show that the obesity rate among children and adolescents in China is on the rise and that the state of physical fitness is on the decline.Physical education is one of the most effective ways for children and young people to exercise,but a single boring training method is not effective in improving students’ physical fitness.In contrast,the fun track and field training promulgated by the International Association of Athletics Federations(IAAF)is a set of activity games based on the psychological and physiological developmental characteristics of children and adolescents,with sprinting,endurance running,jumping,throwing and other basic track and field events as content,and reducing the difficulty of movements and simplifying the rules of competition to stimulate students’ interest in participating in track and field sports,discovering their basic track and field skills,and allowing them to enjoy fun track and field sports! This paper aims to use fun athletics games to improve physical fitness,develop team spirit and create determination and confidence to compete.Therefore,the aim of this paper is to use the fun track and field training model to train the physical fitness of Level 2 students and to analyse in detail the effect of fun track and field training on the physical fitness of Level 2 students.This paper uses literature,expert interviews,experimental methods and mathematical and statistical methods to conduct an experimental study on Level 4students of the First Experimental Primary School in Gaotang County.By conducting fun track and field training for students in the experimental class and organising regular track and field teaching for students in the control class,the difference in physical fitness between the two classes at the end of the experiment was analysed.The following conclusions were drawn from the study:(1)After the experiment,both the fun track and field training and the regular track and field training increased the physical fitness of the Level 2 students.In terms of the degree of improvement in various physical qualities,the students in the experimental class improved their physical fitness after the experiment to a more significant extent than the students who underwent regular track and field training.(2)The experimental data showed that the experimental data showed a significant difference(P < 0.05)in the two areas of agility and flexibility,and a significant difference(0.05 > P > 0.01)in the area of endurance for the boys.(3)After the experiment,the students in the experimental and control classes showed roughly equal increases in speed quality,strength quality and endurance quality(girls)after the test(P > 0.05),from which it can be concluded that the main focus of fun athletics is on the improvement of flexibility quality and agility quality,and that the gap cannot be efficiently closed in other quality training.(4)The overall training atmosphere of the students who performed fun athletics was joyful in nature,improving their bodies while also increasing their interest in physical exercise,and the students’ will quality,competitive consciousness and team spirit grew quietly during the training period. |
