With the continuous development of the times, population mobility has become a major characteristic of the times in China, and the number of mobile population is increasing day by day, among which the mobile youth, who have the dual attributes of mobility and youth, are large in size. The survey results show that migrant youth face the problems of overwork and poor social integration,so this paper will discuss the impact of overwork on the social integration of migrant youth.Considering that social integration is a more abstract concept and it is difficult to directly quantify and compare, this paper constructs a comprehensive social integration index system, which includes four dimensions: economic integration, social adaptation, cultural acquisition and psychological identity. At the same time, because mobile youth have different job choices and there are hierarchical differences among occupations, this paper will further discuss the occupational hierarchical differences in social integration of mobile youth. In the theoretical framework, this article analyzes the impact of overwork on the social integration of migrant youth based on the resource conservation theory, specifically discusses the impact effects in the four dimensions of economic and economic integration, social adaptation, cultural acquisition and psychological identity and the differences in the impact in the occupational hierarchy, and puts forward the corresponding research hypotheses. The article describes and analyzes the current situation of overwork and social integration of migrant youth specifically by combining the data from the 2017 China Migration Dynamics Monitoring Survey, and analyzes the specific impact of overwork on social integration of migrant youth by establishing an OLS regression model. At the same time, the occupational strata were reclassified to analyze the differences of excessive labor on the social integration of mobile youth in high, middle and low occupational strata. To ensure the reliability of the analyzed results, the possible two-way causality of this study was examined endogenously, and the specific findings are as follows.First, mobile youth as a whole are employed for longer periods of time and overwork is common. The average labor income is fair and higher than the national average. The social integration of mobile youth is more serious, and the overall comprehensive social integration is fair with an average score of 91.592 out of a total score of 100.However,the integration of the economic integration dimension is very good, with an average score of 97.971.The overall integration in the social adjustment dimension was extremely poor, with an average score of 16.308.The overall integration of the cultural acquisition dimension was average, with an average score of 59.919.Second,excessive labor had a significant negative effect on the overall social integration of migrant youth, and also had a significant negative effect on the economic integration, social adaptation, cultural acquisition, and psychological identity dimensions. On the question of whether there is occupational heterogeneity in the effect of overwork on their social integration, the results of the analysis show that there is a significant negative effect at the high, middle and low occupational levels.Among them, overwork has a smaller negative effect on the economic integration dimension and a larger negative effect on the cultural acquisition dimension in the high occupational stratum. The negative effects on the social adjustment and psychological identity dimensions were smaller for the middle occupational level, and the negative effects on the social adjustment dimension were smaller for the lower occupational level.Accordingly, this paper suggests that the government can formulate more humane policies, provide more social security and welfare for mobile youth, and establish a more inclusive social environment.Enterprises should arrange more reasonable working hours and treatment to avoid overwork.Society should strengthen care and support for the migrant population, help them integrate into the local community, and reduce their psychological pressure.Individuals should take the initiative to integrate into society and participate in social activities and cultural exchanges to expand their social networks and sense of identity.
