A Practical Study On The Intervention Of Social Work In The Cultural Construction Of M Village From The Perspective Of Strength

Cultural revitalization is the only way to revitalize the countryside,which provides intellectual and spiritual support for rural revitalization.Under the impact of modernization,rural culture is declining,farmers’ sense of cultural identity is decreasing,there is a shortage of talents in rural cultural construction,and a series of problems such as single form of rural culture have emerged,and villagers’ awareness of participation and ability of participation need to be improved.Social work,with its altruistic values and self-help approach,has professional advantages in intervening in the construction of rural culture.Yuncheng City,Shanxi Province,is the birthplace of Guan Gong culture and has rich geographical and cultural resources,which is an important vehicle for rural cultural construction.First,the article takes Village M as the practice site,and through visits,observations and interviews,we understand the current cultural dilemmas of Village M and their causes,so as to lay the foundation for subsequent social work intervention in cultural construction.The previous investigation found that there are problems such as weakness of cultural inheritance,shortage of talents in cultural construction team,and single form of culture in M village.Secondly,based on the above problems,the article uses group work methods to carry out a series of thematic activities such as "assessing strengths","exploring strengths" and "cultivating strengths" from the perspective of strengths.After six group activities,the villagers’ enthusiasm for cultural construction,their ability to participate and their awareness of participation increased.Finally,through analyzing the real-life dilemma of social work intervention in rural cultural construction,we propose a feasible path for social work intervention in rural cultural construction from the levels of government,villages and social workers.
