Jiangsu S Secondary Vocational School is a public comprehensive four-star secondary vocational school with a three-year secondary vocational school as the main body,integrating comprehensive high school,modern distance open education,community education and vocational skill training.The researcher is an intern teacher of S secondary vocational school.During the practice of one semester,he found that most of his colleagues complained and were not motivated to work,which affected the teaching quality of the teacher.As a front-line teacher who has practiced in a secondary vocational school,the author hopes to find out the factors that affect the work enthusiasm of secondary vocational teachers through the study of S secondary vocational school in Jiangsu Province,and use the incentive theory in management to propose targeted strategies to mobilize the work enthusiasm of secondary vocational teachers.The article adopts narrative research to conduct close contact and in-depth interviews with six vocational school teachers A,B,C,D,E,and F from S Vocational School.By collecting and organizing relevant data,the psychological changes of these six teachers throughout the entire process from choosing to stay in vocational school for teaching are sorted out,and the reasons that affect the work enthusiasm of vocational school teachers are analyzed using motivation theory.Through research,it has been found that the factors that affect the work enthusiasm of vocational school teachers can be mainly divided into four levels: students,teachers,schools,and society.The student level is mainly influenced by students’ foundation and learning attitudes;At the teacher level,it is mainly influenced by their work identity and passion,career planning,teacher responsibility,salary and benefits,and family factors;At the school level,it is mainly influenced by the conditions of the training base,teacher assessment,professional title evaluation,internship arrangements,and the importance attached by the school;The social level is mainly influenced by parental attitudes and career prospects.Based on these four levels of influencing factors,propose strategies to mobilize the work enthusiasm of vocational school teachers from three aspects:teachers,schools,and society.Firstly,the personal strategy for vocational school teachers is to actively adjust their mindset in the face of pressure and establish direction in the face of confusion.Secondly,the school level measures are to meet the basic needs of teachers,do a good job in rewarding teachers,build a scientific salary system,establish good evaluation and assessment,and improve the comprehensive quality of students.Finally,the social response is to enhance the social identity of vocational school teachers and provide favorable policy and financial support.
