General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that to promote reform and innovation in ideological and political theory courses,"we should adhere to the unity of value and knowledge,and guide values in the transmission of knowledge".This important statement focuses on clarifying the intrinsic link between values education and knowledge education,and provides scientific guidance for the Civics class to better implement the fundamental task of cultivating roots and forging souls and establishing moral education.Junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law class teaching adhere to the unity of value and knowledge,is not only to promote the junior high school Civics class reform and innovation of the real needs,but also a need to keep pace with the times and constantly explore the question of the times.The loss of either value or knowledge is ineffective education.The transmission of theoretical knowledge is an important task of education,but all education cannot avoid value and be guided by it.The teaching of Ethics and the Rule of Law in junior high school is a course that combines value and knowledge,imparting knowledge and conveying beliefs.Therefore,it is necessary and significant to explore the important value,the real situation and the path to achieve the unity of value and knowledge in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school.This paper explores the "what," "why," and "how" aspects of teaching Morality and the Rule of Law in junior high school by using literature research,questionnaires,interviews,and classroom observation.First of all,from the theoretical basis and basic connotation of the unity of value and knowledge in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school,the question of "what is" is explained;Secondly,to analyze the importance of teaching Ethics and the Rule of Law in junior high school to unify value and knowledge to promote the cultivation of core qualities in junior high school Civics and Political Science classes,to help reform the education and teaching of junior high school Civics and Political Science courses,to guide students to firmly establish correct values,and to promote the overall healthy development of junior high school students physically and mentally,and to explain the question of "why";Finally,we analyze the collected questionnaires and the actual situation of the interviewed teachers,summarize the real problems and profound reasons for the unification of value and knowledge in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,combine the effective information captured by the classroom observation method,and propose the realization path for the unification of value and knowledge in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school from organizing "five heart" preparation before class,adhering to "four" principles during class,and adopting "four" consolidation after class,so as to solve the problem of "how to do".
