The learning-centered philosophy assumes that the purpose of education is student learning,and that students’ learning lives are center of the teaching process.The student as the subject of learning will influence the teacher’s choice of teaching content,the adoption of teaching methods,and the implementation of teaching organization.The auxiliary system of history textbooks,as an important part of textbooks,is an important basis for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History Vol.1 is a high school history textbook prepared,reviewed,and used by the state in accordance with state regulations.Compared with other versions of high school history textbooks,one of its remarkable features is that the auxiliary system has become richer and richer,and the proportion has also increased.This situation is determined by the value of the textbook auxiliary system itself.From the perspective of learning center,this paper studies the auxiliary system of the unified edition of high school history textbooks in order to provide help for teachers and students.The article is divided into four parts.The first part compares the similarities,differences and reasons of the auxiliary system of the junior middle school and senior high school history textbooks.According to the role of the auxiliary system in students’ different learning stages,it is classified into learning guidance system,student aid system and consolidation learning system,and then makes a comprehensive analysis of its content.The second part is the investigation of the application status of the auxiliary system of The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History Vol.1.Through the investigation,it is found that there are the following problems in the current teaching:the understanding of the auxiliary system is not thorough,the interest in inquiry columns is low,the role of the auxiliary system is not fully played,and then analyze the causes of the problems.The third part is to propose the principles and methods of effective application of the auxiliary system based on the content analysis and application survey of the auxiliary system.On the one hand,the application principles of the auxiliary system should follow the relevance,appropriateness,diversity and flexibility,etc.On the other hand,according to the classification of auxiliary systems,the application methods proposed include "comprehensive understanding,guiding learning","clear purpose,targeted","tricky questions,breakthrough difficulties " and others.In the fourth part,the teaching design and reflections of Lesson 23,"From Partial Resistance to Total Resistance",are used as an example,in order to promote the application and research of the auxiliary system in the unified version of high school history textbooks.
