| mild mental retardation groups,as a part of society,to a better life also keep yearning.Independent Life is a necessary way to pursue a better life.As an independent individual,independent life helps individuals to find the value of life.This group is mentally deficient,and also emotional,no clear understanding of the outside world,and so on,so only on their own,it is difficult to achieve the goal of independent life.For the group of mild mental retardation,the goal of independent life can not be achieved without the care and support of all sectors of society.In this paper,the mild mental retardation as the research object,using group work method to improve the self-living ability of the clients,combined with the theory of empowerment,hope to help the clients to tap their own potential,establish a positive attitude towards independent life,so that the service object can participate in social life as normal people.In this study,we used in-depth interviews and participant observation to assess the needs of 10 patients with mild mental retardation,that is,the establishment of self-confidence in life,home life ability to enhance the ability to enhance community life.The practice in this paper is mainly based on the group work method,aiming at the needs of the group members and combining with the theory of empowerment,and then eight group activities to help the mild mental retardation towards the goal of independent life.The results of this study confirm that group work method has a significant effect on promoting the self-regulated life of mild mental retardation.Through the reflection and summary of the practice,this paper puts forward some relevant suggestions,that is,when social work is involved in the group of mentally handicapped people,social workers should develop special education knowledge,group work should be sustained,and the methods of practice should be diversified,so as to provide a reference for the research of social work involved in mild mental retardation. |
