In the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),the practical ability of geography has been formally put forward,indicating a new teaching direction for geography teaching in senior high school,and the cultivation mode of practical force of geography has become a research focus of geography education.Geography practice activity is an experimental inquiry activity of geography teaching under the guidance of teachers,which is complementary to traditional classroom teaching,which is helpful to promote students’ understanding and mastery of geography knowledge and cultivate students’ geography practical ability.Questionnaires and interviews show that there are some problems in the current geography practice activities,such as insufficient attention by schools,shortage of educational facilities for campus geography practice activities,weak professional skills of teachers in geography practice and lack of geographical knowledge of students,which make middle school geography practice activities not optimistic and students’ geographical practice ability is relatively weak.Based on this,combined with the requirements of the new curriculum reform,this paper puts forward that the principles of geography practice activity design are scientific,inquiry,subjectivity,maneuverability and geography practice ability development principle,and constructs the general model of geography practice activity teaching design.According to the problems found in the questionnaire,the strategies of geographical practice activities are put forward,which are as follows: clarifying the activity objectives,indicating the practice direction;Raise the awareness of the problem and drive the practice;Strengthen method guidance,improve problem solving ability;Improve the evaluation mechanism and cultivate geographical practice;Improve the professional quality of teachers,training professional practice teachers.Earth movement is the basis of many geographical knowledge,but its abstraction is difficult to understand,and students learning effect is poor,which affects the subsequent learning of geographical knowledge and the cultivation of geographical practical ability.This article systematically sorted out the relevant knowledge of Earth movement in the 2019 Hunan Edition geography textbook,made full use of campus resources and cooperated with the astronomy society of the university to carry out campus geography practice activities with the theme of Earth movement,and designed a geography practice case entitled "Exploring the starry Sky".In the construction of the overall framework,this paper puts forward the "three-stage" implementation path of geographical practice activities,which mainly includes the first stage:the preliminary course preparation stage of geographical practice activities.The supplementary knowledge about the earth movement in the textbook was compiled into a book for students to learn,the geographical practice activity manual was designed to guide students to practice,the evaluation scale was designed,and the teachers and members of the astronomical society were trained to do the preparatory work;Stage 2: Middle course implementation stage of geography practice activities.Lead the experimental class to carry out geographical practice activities such as outdoor star gazing,practical operation of astronomical telescope and demonstration of planetary motion in the school track and field.The third stage: the course summary stage of geographical practice activities.Students will report the results of geographical practice and submit the geographical practice manual.Finally,teachers will make a comprehensive evaluation according to the comprehensive performance of students in the practice process,the completion degree of the geographical practice manual and the answers in the test paper of the basic knowledge of Earth motion.The designed geography practice case is used in the educational demonstration,and the control experiment is set up to verify the results.The experiment proves that the experimental class that participated in geographical practice activities has a solid grasp of the knowledge of earth movement,and the students’ geographical practice ability has been enhanced,and their interest in learning geography has also been enhanced.Through reflection on the geography practice cases carried out,the stargazing task is greatly affected by environmental pollution,which has an impact on the practice effect.The teaching design needs to be further improved,in order to provide experience for the future high school to carry out geography practice activities.
