| The current our country rural non-agricultural employment is relatively low,the employment quality of whole community and the group’s total employment accounted for about more than a third of the total employment, will significantly affect the overall quality of employment in our country,is not conducive to "better quality more fully employment",to achieve the goal of the quality problem and employment of rural employment group should get more attention. At the same time, the rapid development of Internet technology has profoundly influenced people’s employment choice and quality. The 14th Five-Year Plan also mentioned that we should adapt to the new trend of digital technology constantly integrating into our lives, build a digital countryside, and build a comprehensive information service system for agriculture and rural areas.Based on this,it is of great significance to explore the impact of Internet use on the employment quality of rural non-agricultural employment groups. On the one hand,it can enrich the research content of Internet use and employment quality, and on the other hand,it can put forward practical suggestions for improving the employment quality of rural non-agricultural employment groups and promoting the construction of rural Internet. This study will use the data of China Household Tracking Survey(CFPS)in 2018 to deeply explore the impact of Internet use on the employment quality of rural non-agricultural employment groups and the mechanism behind it,and further divide the employment quality into subjective employment quality and objective employment quality. In the empirical research part, firstly,an econometric model is constructed to analyze the effect of Internet use on the employment quality of rural non-agricultural employment groups.Secondly,in order to test the robustness of the regression results, the propensity score matching method(PSM)was used for the analysis, followed by the substitution variable method for the second test of the regression results.Thirdly, the influences of Internet use on rural non-agricultural employment individuals of different ages, genders and educational levels are investigated. Finally, the influencing mechanism is analyzed. It is found that Internet use has a significant positive impact on the hourly wage of rural non-farm workers, but has no significant impact on their average weekly working hours and overall job satisfaction. In terms of gender,Internet use has a greater impact on the hourly wage of rural male non-farm workers than female workers. In terms of age,Internet use has a significant positive effect on the increase of the rural prime age(26-55 years old)non-farm employment hourly wage, but not on the young labor force(18-25 years old)and the elderly labor force(56-65 years old).In terms of the highest educational level,Internet use will significantly increase the hourly wage of rural non-agricultural employment group with primary school, junior high school, senior high school, technical school, vocational high school and junior college education, but has no significant effect on the hourly wage of other educational level groups. In terms of influencing mechanism,Internet use will affect individual hourly wage through influencing the frequency of rural non-agricultural employment groups using the Internet for study, work and business activities, but not through the frequency of individuals using the Internet for social and entertainment activities. In addition,Internet use also does not affect individual hourly wages by affecting the social capital of rural non-farm workers.Based on this,we should continue to promote the popularization of Internet in rural areas and strengthen the training of rural labor force on Internet use.At the same time, improve the content quality of the Internet platform, actively carry out basic education and training, vocational skills training and other activities, stimulate the enthusiasm of rural labor force to participate in learning activities,so that they can set the goal of skill improvement, and then realize the increase of their own human capital, improve the quality of employment. To carry out targeted training activities for different age groups, different gender groups and different education groups in rural areas, and give full play to the positive role of the Internet. |
