Research On The Influence Of Depression Of Body Image On College Students’ Social Interaction

Social communication is an important behavior for individuals to connect the society,and it is also an important way to form personal social network.As Marx pointed out,communication is the essence of human beings,and the essence of human beings is the sum of all social relations.With the improvement of productivity and the support of science and technology,social communication breaks the boundary bondage of the real society and gradually extends to the virtual society that compresses time and crosses space.The "virtual and real" social communication increases the opportunity of communication,expands the scope of social communication and broadens the social network.Virtual society breaks the hierarchical solidification and allows individuals of different levels to carry out dialogues,which increases the social heterogeneity of individuals.Today,with the further development of virtual reality technology,the virtual society can transcend time and space and through the screen,and the two-dimensional form of virtual social communication is gradually transformed into three-dimensional and deep-level interaction.However,higher education is a stage with multiple communication situations,and college students are also the core user group of virtual technology.In this case,the group gets rid of the previous vertical communication behavior and turns to deepening horizontal social interaction activities."Physical body" has gradually entered the field of view of researchers under the Enlightenment movement and cultural agitation.Under the impact of modernity,the individual’s dissatisfaction with his body becomes more and more obvious,and the influence of his body on his social behavior gradually increases.Body recognition has become an increasingly important part of self-identity,and the impact of depression of body image on social interaction has become more obvious.In the field of psychology,this research field has made great progress,but few studies have been carried out combining the theories and research methods of sociology and psychology.Some scholars have found the importance of self-identity in the relationship between body and social interaction,but there are few research results,and the mechanism of the relationship needs to be further discovered.Therefore,the variable self-identity is introduced in this paper to explore the relationship between depression of body image and social interaction and whether self-identity plays an intermediary role between them.It should be emphasized that social interaction in this study is divided into real social interaction and virtual social interaction for exploration.In this study,739 college students in Kunming City were surveyed by an empirical research method.Multiple linear regression analysis and mediation model were used to explore the relationship mechanism.Finally,according to the research results,practical suggestions are put forward from three aspects: family,school and society.Through research and empirical analysis,the following findings were obtained:(1)depression of body image significantly negatively predicted social interaction;(2)The negative influence of male depression body image on social interaction is greater than that of female;(3)Rural college students are more likely to be affected by depression of body image in real social interaction,while urban college students are more likely to be affected by depression of body image in virtual social interaction;(4)Self-identity plays a significant mediating role between depression odf body image and social interaction.Based on the above conclusions,the author proposes to establish the correct self-identity,pay attention to the cultivation of social ability and help establish the correct aesthetic view at the family level.It is suggested that schools should guide campus aesthetic fashion through opinion leaders.The second is to improve the psychological counseling mechanism to solve the problems of social communication.The third is to carry out healthy campus activities to shape self-identity.At the social level,one is to give play to the leading role of the Communist Youth League organization and enhance the self-discipline of the media;the other is to establish social conventions and refocus on aesthetic heresies;the third is to guide the healthy aesthetic with the guidance of authority.
