| Halliwick technology was born in the 1950 s to better integrate disabled children into swimming activities.Through a large number of experiments and demonstrations,a method of independent movement in the water was finally determined, that is,a process of stabilizing the body posture first, and then conducting autonomous movement in the water.Preschool age is a special period for children’s growth and development. If balance training and intervention are conducted at this stage,it will greatly improve the development of various aspects of preschool children’s abilities, including balance ability.Research purpose: This study applies Halliwick technology to preschool children’s swimming training, compares its training effect with conventional swimming training, explores the improvement effect of Halliwick technology on preschool children’s land balance ability and water balance ability, and compares the differences between Halliwick technology and conventional swimming training, thereby forming a new exercise method to improve balance ability. The aim is to provide diverse swimming training modes for preschool children and provide a more complete theoretical basis for methods to improve balance ability.Research methods: This study selected 32 preschool children with zero basic swimming as experimental subjects through pre experiment.Randomly divided into experimental group and control group, experimental intervention of 1 hour per time,3 times per week, and a total of 8 weeks was conducted. The balance ability of preschool children was tested before and after training to compare the impact of two training plans on their balance ability.Research results:(1)After the experiment, the experimental group and the controlg roup had static balance ability indicators on land(closed eye single leg standing, open eye single leg standing),dynamic balance ability indicators on land(balance beam test, closed eye standing test),static balance ability test indicators in water(static supine floating, static prone floating)There was a very significant difference in the test indicators of dynamic balance ability in water(floating board prone leg sliding, simple supine propulsion)within the group(P<0.01)After the experiment, there was a very significant differen ce between the experimental group and the control group in terms of eye closed single leg standing test, balance beam test, eye closed standing test, static supine flotation, floating board prone leg sliding, and simple supine propulsion(P<0.01)There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in comparison and analysis between the test groups with static open eyes and one foot standing on land(P<0.05);After the experiment, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05)in terms of the static balance ability in water.Research conclusions:(1)Through 8-week intervention training on balance ability of preschool children using Halliwick technology, their land balance ability and water balance ability have been significantly improved. It is mainly manifested in the significant improvement in the performance of preschool children in standing with their eyes closed on one foot, standing with their eyes open on one foot, balancing beams, standing with their eyes closed in place, static prone floating, static supine floating, floating board prone kick gliding, and simple supine propulsion Halliwick technique and routine swimming training can significantly improve the land balance ability and water balance ability of preschool children. However,Halliwick technology significantly improves the land balance abil ity and water balance ability of preschool children compared to conventional swimming training As children age, their land and water balance abilities gradually improve. With the intervention of Halliwick technology, the land balance ability and water balance ability of preschool children can be developed more rapidly. |
