Research On The Mechanism Of Spanish Professional Basketball League

Spanish professional basketball League originated in 1957.Until 1983,the establishment of Spanish Basketball Club Association marked the birth of Spain’s top professional basketball league-ACB League.Up to now,ACB League has become the first national professional basketball league in Europe,second only to NBA League in the world.This paper adopts the method of literature,expert interview,comparative analysis and logical analysis to study the mechanism of Spanish League ACB League from four aspects: league organization and management organization and function,league competition system,league player management mechanism and league operation mechanism,and summarizes the successful experience and inspiration of its professional league mechanism construction,which can be used for reference for the development and reform of domestic professional league.The research conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.The Spanish professional Basketball League has a history of more than 60 years.The league adopts the promotion and relegation system.The ACB league is run by the Association of Spanish Basketball Clubs,and the number of clubs in the league is stable at around 18.2.In the organization and management of the league,the ACB League has a high degree of independent decision-making power within the Spanish Basketball Federation.Both the ACB League and the clubs have a number of organizations and departments for decision-making and administration.The congress and the president exercise decision-making power over major affairs of the league,and the board of directors and the president exercise decision-making power over major affairs of the club.The top-down scientific and democratic decision-making mechanism guarantees the healthy operation and development of the ACB League.3.The competition system of the ACB League of La Liga has the characteristics of multi-match system,and the league itself has few matches.The form of "League + Cup" brings more rich and exciting experience to the audience and fans.The strong teams in the league can also participate in the league,cup and Euroleague matches.The number of matches of the strong teams in a single season is close to 90,far more than the number of single teams in a single season of the CBA League,which plays an important role in improving and maintaining the competitive ability of the ACB League teams and high-level players.4.In terms of player management mechanism,La Liga ACB League does not set up draft system.League players are typical club youth training mode,which belongs to the open foreign player introduction system.The influence of these systems on the development of the ACB League has both advantages and disadvantages.On the one hand,it is beneficial to the long-term development of the ACB club teams in the league,cultivating a large number of basketball talents for European countries and reflecting the value of the self-training system of club teams.On the other hand,it not only reduces the flow of players in the league,but also easily leads to the monopoly of the strong teams in the league,which impedes the competitive balance of the clubs in the league.5.The operation of the ACB League of La Liga is challenged.At the level of the operation of the league,the ACB League relies on stable income and assets to guarantee the healthy operation of the league.In terms of club operation,Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only two ACB teams controlled by football clubs in the ACB League.Their income,expenditure and budget are far higher than that of other clubs in the league,but they cannot make profits through their independent operation.Most other clubs in the ACB league are also in the state of loss.Real Madrid and Barca receive a large amount of funds and budget support from football clubs every year for team operation,while other clubs in the league also receive certain economic support from major shareholders of clubs,sponsorship incentives or Spanish public administration departments.Without such financial support,it is difficult for clubs in the ACB League to maintain a balance of payments and make profits by independent operation.6.The mechanism construction of ACB league in La Liga provides reference and reference for Chinese league.In league organization and management,social management is more advantageous;In the league format,the number of matches and the high level of competition is very important for the players and the team strength training and promotion.On the management of league players,we should attach great importance to the construction and perfection of the reserve talent system of the league youth training,and continue to deepen the reform of the league salary cap system.In the operation of the league,we should make reasonable use of the national basketball market and resources,accelerate the reform process of professionalism and commercialization of the league,and turn losses into profits.
