The "Compulsory Education Language Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)"(hereinafter referred to as the "Curriculum Standards")emphasizes in the "Curriculum Philosophy" section that it is necessary to base on the development of students’ core competencies and give full play to the educational function of language courses.As an important part of reading teaching in the unified version of junior high school Chinese textbooks,modern and contemporary prose contains important teaching value for cultivating core language literacy.Through questionnaire survey and observation in personal practice,this paper aims to analyze the problems existing in modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior high schools under the concept of language core literacy,analyze the reasons,and put forward effective suggestions,so as to provide new ideas for the teaching of modern and contemporary prose in junior high schools under the concept of language core literacy.This article is divided into four parts:The introduction part focuses on the core literacy of language and modern and contemporary prose,clarifies the connotation of core literacy of language and the concept of modern and contemporary prose,understands its research status,and determines research methods.The first chapter analyzes the importance of modern and contemporary prose teaching for the implementation of core language literacy by sorting out the selected essays of modern and contemporary prose textbooks in the unified version of junior high school Chinese textbooks and the characteristics of selected texts.The second chapter mainly uses questionnaire survey methods and interview methods to understand the current status of modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior high schools,and analyzes the following problems based on the realization of core language literacy: students’ insufficient language taste and weak ability to use it;Thinking solidifies,thinking training floats on the surface;Speaking for enlightenment,there is less aesthetic perception;There are deficiencies in culture and education.In the third chapter,based on my own thinking in practice and related literature research,combined with the specific articles in the unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks,I put forward the following teaching suggestions: multiple appreciation,multiple forms of writing to enhance the ability of language appreciation and application;Sorting out the "context" Chapter 3 puts forward the following teaching suggestions based on my own thinking in practice and research on relevant literature,combined with the specific articles in the unified edition of the junior high school Chinese textbook: multi-appreciation,multi-form writing to enhance language appreciation and use ability;Sort out the "context",mobilize association and imagination,and effectively ask questions to cultivate students’ thinking ability;Comparative reading,taste artistic conception,and writing transfer to cultivate students’ aesthetic taste;Excavate the cultural value of texts,base on reading inside and outside the classroom,and strengthen cultural experience in teaching to increase students’ cultural heritage.
