| In recent years,with the continuous innovation in the field of education,the teaching of biology in junior high schools has gradually emphasized the cultivation of students’ inquiry-based learning abilities and their understanding of biological literacy.The case study method,through describing specific scenarios,guides students in conducting research and exploration,thereby fostering their ability for independent inquiry-based learning and connecting theory with practice.This approach realizes the teaching concept of student-centeredness with teacher guidance and has gained recognition and popularity among teachers and students.This article will discuss the application of the case study method in junior high school biology teaching from several perspectives.Firstly,based on relevant literature review and analysis,this article defines and establishes the theoretical foundation of the case study method.On this basis,through student questionnaires,the current learning status and teaching situation of biology classes are assessed,and teacher interviews explore the application of the case study method,gathering insights,improvement suggestions,and recommendations from teachers regarding their experiences with the case study method.This provides ideas and evidence for the subsequent implementation of the case study method.Considering the curriculum context and the characteristics and principles of the case study method,a specific implementation process of the case study method in junior high school biology classes is constructed,providing an important theoretical basis for its practical application.In addition,through student questionnaires,it understands the current status of student learning in biology classrooms and the teaching status of the course.Through teacher interviews,it explores the application status of case teaching method.It understands teachers’ experience and opinions in the practice of case teaching method.It also provides improvement suggestions for follow-up practice.Secondly,through teaching practice,the effectiveness of using the case study method in junior high school biology education is explored,including its impact on students’ learning interest,learning abilities,and classroom learning habits.Through classroom observations,student questionnaires,and student interviews,it is found that the case study method in junior high school biology teaching can cultivate students’ learning interest,help them understand and master knowledge,enhance their initiative in learning,and promote their expression and communication skills.It also improves students’ competence and trains their ability to analyze and solve real-world problems.Finally,this paper summarizes some experience of case teaching practice.It includes some problems found in the implementation of case teaching method,such as insufficient learning initiative of students,unclear role positioning of teachers,improper selection of cases and lack of case resources.On this basis,it puts forward some suggestions for problem solving: First,at the student level,it gives full play to the main role of students and improves their enthusiasm for participating in the classroom.Second,at the teacher level,it changes the role of teachers in the classroom and guides students to learn in a timely manner.Third,at the school level,it establishes a complete case resource library to realize resource sharing.It aims to further optimize the application of case teaching method in junior high school biology education. |
