"Tourism Etiquette" is a professional foundation course for tourism management majors in secondary vocational schools,aiming to cultivate the vocational ability of tourism service etiquette for secondary school students,with strong practicality.Micro-course is a combination of teaching process and its resources designed around a certain knowledge point or question,mainly presented through 5-10 minutes of video,summarized with the feature of short and concise.With the development of education informatization,micro-course,as a product of combining information technology and education,gradually becomes a hot spot for curriculum construction innovation in secondary schools.Through the existing literature survey,it is found that most research on microcourse design and application is in the field of general education,and there is less research on microcourse within the scope of secondary vocational education.In this paper,by reading the literature,the development of microcourses at home and abroad is sorted out and summarized.Then,taking L vocational secondary specialized school in G city as an example,the current situation of secondary classroom teaching was investigated by using questionnaire,interview and observation methods.And the feasibility analysis of using micro-class teaching to optimize the current situation of teaching was carried out.By combining the theoretical foundation related to vocational education,referring to the textbook of Tourism Etiquette and drawing on the teaching methods of vocational education,six principles of micro-course design were summarized and used to design the micro-course.After applying the micro-course case to the classroom,three evaluation methods are applied to analyze the learning effects of students in two classes and the pros and cons of micro-course teaching are outlined.The main body of this paper consists of the following four parts:Theory of foundations.Based on the research background and the review of domestic and foreign researches in Chapter 1,this part chooses to design micro-course based on constructivist learning,micro-learning and pragmatism theories for the purpose of optimizing the teaching of Tourism Etiquette in secondary school and improving students’learning effects.Analysis of the current situation.This part uses questionnaire method,interview method and observation method to survey teachers and students of tourism management in L vocational secondary specialized school in G.The aim is to understand the current situation of teaching "Tourism Etiquette" course in secondary vocational school,the application of micro-course in this course,the degree of students’ interest in using micro-course for learning and teachers’ attitudes toward using micro-course for teaching,and to analyze them.Design of Micro-course.This part summarizes the six principles of micro-course design based on the results of the analysis of the teaching status of "Tourism Etiquette" in the secondary vocational school,combined with the teaching content characteristics and the learning situation of this course,and based on the selected education theory,and carries out the design related to micro-course according to form micro-course cases.Application evaluation.This part evaluates the effectiveness of micro-course cases applied to the actual classroom by using three evaluation methods.A comparison between two classes was conducted to examine the positive effects of the micro-course cases in terms of learning achievement,learning attitude and satisfaction with the micro-course teaching.It is expected to prove that the application of the micro-course in this paper can optimize the teaching of Tourism Etiquette in secondary vocational school and improve the learning effect of students.
