The professional construction of vocational colleges is the only way to improve the quality of education and achieve connotative development.However,there is an inherent path dependence of higher vocational institutions on professional setting and professional construction,and the professional construction lacks characteristics and the homogenization of majors is serious.Therefore,the best way for private vocational colleges to survive and develop is to get rid of the solidified thinking and run specialties,and the quality and uniqueness of specialties will be the core grasp to ensure the high-quality development of higher education institutions.The construction of specialties is not only of practical significance to the sustainable development of higher vocational institutions,but also a realistic response to the new development and new requirements of vocational education brought by the current industrial transformation and upgrading.Combining the reality of private higher vocational colleges and the future trend of higher vocational education,it is of great practical significance to improve the quality of professional training and highlight the advantages of private colleges and universities by building specialties,clarifying the training objectives and positioning the differentiated market according to the regional development needs.Therefore,this study summarizes the theoretical basis about the construction of specialties in higher vocational colleges,investigates and researches the current situation of the construction of specialties in private higher vocational colleges-C Vocational College,summarizes and finds the problems and reasons of the construction of specialties through analyzing the current situation,and then proposes the principles and Strategies.The study shows that although the overall development of characteristic specialty construction of C Vocational College is steady and good,it closely combines the national strategic layout and local industrial characteristics,and highlights the advantages and influence of characteristic specialties.However,the construction of specialties in private higher vocational colleges is not a "straight path",for example,there are problems in the construction process,such as the neglect of professional training objectives,inadequate curriculum system,imperfect professional training and internship,and deficiencies in teacher quality.The reasons for the problems are not only the internal factors of the school,but also the restrictions of the social environment on the private higher vocational colleges.Combining with the above analysis,the construction of specialties in private higher vocational colleges should be able to:First,clarify the orientation of the construction of specialties,clarify the demand and purpose of private higher vocational colleges for the construction of specialties,dock to the niche market,and create specialties.Second,to explore the contents of the construction of specialties,to create a talent training program in line with the characteristics of the specialties,to build a team of "dual-teacher" teachers,to reasonably construct the specialties group,and to carry out brand promotion.Thirdly,create mechanism to guarantee the construction of specialties,and ensure the stable development of specialties by building responsible institutions and evaluation mechanism of specialties.Fourth,promote the school-enterprise linkage under the construction of featured majors,build talent training programs with enterprises,create a nurturing environment and optimize the construction of practical training bases.
