Teaching narrative writing is an important component of junior high school language teaching and is also recognized as a teaching difficulty.In recent decades,research on junior high school narrative writing teaching has been ongoing,and frontline language teachers have also made many efforts and attempts,achieving commendable results,but there are still many problems,such as outdated teaching modes and methods,and the writing teaching goals proposed by the new curriculum standard have not been well implemented;students’ writing content is lacking,emotions are distorted,and there is a lack of interest in writing.Therefore,junior high school narrative writing urgently needs innovative teaching modes and methods to solve the problems existing in the teaching and learning of narrative writing.Creative writing originated in the United States and is a discipline opened to cultivate writers.The "writing workshop" is the most mainstream teaching mode of creative writing.The "writing workshop" adopts a guiding,interactive,and stimulating teaching method,which pays attention to the guidance of the writing process,the training of writing thinking,and the discussion and publication of works.Creative writing was introduced to China in 2009,and its research projects mainly focus on universities.Only a small number of researchers actively explore the interoperability between creative writing and primary and secondary school writing teaching.From the existing research,it is feasible to apply creative writing to primary and secondary school writing teaching.Based on previous research,the author further explores the feasibility and effectiveness of applying creative writing to junior high school narrative writing teaching,and provides frontline teachers with scientific and effective teaching strategies to solve the problems in current junior high school narrative writing teaching and learning.First,through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews,the specific problems and causes of current junior high school narrative writing are analyzed.Secondly,based on the "peer assistance" and "writing is teachable" theory,a new mode of narrative writing teaching is constructed,and the significance of applying the new mode to narrative writing teaching is further explored.On this basis,the teaching strategies of applying the creative writing teaching mode to junior high school narrative writing are further explored.Finally,the specific teaching strategies proposed are verified through teaching practice to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the research.
