Research On Career Choice Behavior Of "Slash Youth" From The Perspective Of Rational Choice Theory

"Slash youth" refers to youth groups who do not meet the lifestyle of "single occupation",choose multiple occupations or have multiple identities.Nowadays,"slash youth" as an emerging group is rising and developing all over the world.Why young people should develop sidelines has become the focus of attention from all walks of life.This paper adopts qualitative research methods to conduct in-depth interviews with the post-90 s "slash youth" by snowballing,and makes an overall research and Analysis on the career choice behavior of the "slash youth" from the theoretical perspective of rational choice.Firstly,taking the social background as the research starting point,this paper analyzes the external conditions affecting the career choice of slash youth,including the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,the flattening of organizational structure,the support of information technology in the "Internet +" era,modernity and individualization.Secondly,from the macro level to the micro level,this paper discusses whether the career choice behavior of "slash youth" is rational or not.Mainly from the four units of actors,resources,interests and social norms,it is concluded that the career choice behavior of "slash youth" is a rational choice.Finally,from the micro individual behavior to the macro social impact caused by their behavior choice,it can be seen that although the career choice behavior of "slash youth" alleviates the shortage of labor supply under the influence of aging,promotes the mobility of social strata and improves labor creativity,it also poses a challenge to China’s current social security system,It also has an impact on the traditional labor relations model and operation mechanism.At the end of the study,it discusses the irrational part of the career choice of "slash youth",and holds that the pursuit of freedom,highlighting vitality and exploring unlimited possibilities are the irrational part of their behavior."Slash youth" is not only the current situation of career choice of some youth groups,but also an alternative for the future career development of traditional career groups,representing a new trend of career choice.
