With the rapid development of information technology,knowledge changes are changing rapidly,bringing significant impacts and challenges to various industries.Rote memorization and simple memorization of professional knowledge have become disconnected from social development,and it is necessary to cultivate students’ skills in "knowledge reprocessing".Therefore,improving students’ understanding ability is a top priority in current education and teaching.By improving students’ ability to understand knowledge,they can draw inferences from other examples and learn by analogy,thus meeting the demand for high-quality talents in society.At present,the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in vocational schools mostly adopts traditional teaching models,which makes it difficult for most students to fully understand knowledge,resulting in low learning efficiency and difficulty in cultivating high-quality professional accounting talents that meet social needs.The full name of TFU is Teaching for understanding,which is translated by many scholars in China as "teaching for understanding","understanding based teaching",and so on.The TFU teaching model aims to promote students’ understanding,consisting of four parts: inspiring topics,understanding goals,understanding activities,and continuous evaluation.These four parts are interconnected in teaching design,and diverse teaching methods are adopted to enhance students’ interest in accounting knowledge and continuously improve the knowledge system based on their existing knowledge.Students continuously improve their accounting skills in the process of understanding knowledge,laying a solid foundation for better adaptation to accounting work in the future.This article consists of seven chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research background,research objectives,research significance,and sorts out relevant literature on the theory and application of TFU teaching mode,accounting talent cultivation research,etc.at home and abroad.Finally,a research review is conducted to propose the issues studied in this article.Chapter 2 studies the relevant theories of TFU teaching mode,defines the core concepts and sorts out the theoretical basis,as well as the advantages of TFU teaching mode,laying a theoretical foundation for the writing of this article.Chapter 3investigates the current teaching status of "Basic Accounting" in vocational schools through interviews,questionnaires,and other forms,and analyzes the reasons.Chapter 4 focuses on the teaching design of TFU teaching mode in the teaching of "Basic Accounting" course in vocational schools,elaborating on the various components and corresponding standards of TFU teaching mode,laying the foundation for teaching practice.Chapter 5 presents how the TFU teaching model is applied in vocational school’s "Basic Accounting" through two specific lesson examples.Chapter 6 analyzes the effectiveness of the TFU teaching model through forms such as student performance tests,classroom observations,and teacher-student interviews.The results demonstrate that the TFU teaching model can promote students’ understanding of knowledge,stimulate their enthusiasm for accounting learning,and improve their accounting performance.Chapter 7: Listen to the suggestions of peer teachers for teaching reflection,draw research conclusions,provide corresponding suggestions based on the conclusions,and reflect on the research shortcomings.Finally,propose prospects for the future development of TFU teaching mode.
