With the continuous updating of society’s demand for skilled person,new requirements have been put forward for accounting talents cultivated in vocational and technical education."Basic Accounting" is a professional basic course for students majoring in accounting in secondary vocational schools.Effective teaching models can enhance students’ interest and enthusiasm in accounting learning.Therefore,the key of this study is how to effectively improve the classroom teaching of the course "Basic Accounting".This study introduces the BOPPPS teaching model into the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools,and studies the application of the BOPPPS teaching model in the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools on the basis of constructivist learning theory,interaction theory,and the theory of recent development zone.This article uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the current situation of the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools.It summarizes some existing problems in the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools from both teacher teaching and student learning,including vague teaching objectives,poor teaching methods,teaching strategies that need to be improved,insufficient achievement of objectives,and imperfect teaching feedback mechanisms.This leads to low participation of students in the classroom and poor teaching effectiveness.In order to construct an open and efficient secondary vocational "Basic Accounting" classroom with extensive participation of students and effective explanation by teachers.This article analyzes and proposes a specific solution to the above problems by introducing the BOPPPS teaching model into the teaching of the "Basic Accounting" course in secondary vocational schools,and summarizes the principles,strategies,and precautions during the use of the BOPPPS teaching model.Based on the BOPPPS teaching model,this article conducted a teaching design for "assets" in "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools.A teaching experimental study was conducted in ZJSM School.Two parallel classes of accounting majors were selected as experimental subjects,and they were tested.The study found that the teaching of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools using the BOPPPS teaching model has broken traditional teaching methods,optimized the teaching process of "Basic Accounting",promoted teaching reform,achieved the effect of students’ all-round participation in learning and teachers’ timely access to feedback information,and improved the teaching quality of "Basic Accounting" in secondary vocational schools,To provide effective reference for secondary vocational schools to carry out accounting professional curriculum reform in the future.
