Microcourse is an online teaching video with video as the main carrier and learning or teaching as the application purpose.Its goal is to elaborate on a certain knowledge point.Micro classes have the characteristics of being short,concise,and targeted,and can be used for students to preview before class,review after class,and apply new models of flipped classroom teaching.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,teachers are required to take students as the main body,fully stimulate students’ interest in learning,and give full play to students’ initiative.In physics teaching,the stimulation of students’ motivation will directly affect the effectiveness of physics teaching.The ARCS Motivation Model(Jhon.M.Keller)classifies the influencing factors of students’ learning motivation into four aspects: learners’ own attention,that is,attention,the correlation between knowledge learned and learners’ existing experience,and the self-confidence and satisfaction gained by students during the learning process.Maintain learning motivation.Therefore,this article is mainly based on the ARCS motivation model proposed by Professor Keller,and carries out micro-class design to improve senior high school students’ physics learning motivation,thereby improving teaching effectiveness.The research ideas and specific work of this article are roughly divided into five aspects.Firstly,read the relevant literature on ARCS motivation model and micro class teaching to find the connection between the two;Then,using Professor Keller’s CIS scale for reference,a questionnaire was developed to measure senior high school students’ physics learning motivation.Two classes of students were selected for investigation and research in my internship school;Subsequently,based on the ARCS motivation model,the micro course is designed,specifically including three parts: "Micro Course Motivation Design Strategy","Micro Course Design Scheme",and "Micro Course Design Case".This article mainly designs two micro courses,"Free Falling Motion" and "Inertia Phenomena in Life",as cases;Finally,a questionnaire post test was conducted.Then compare the results measured before and after the experiment;Analyze whether there are differences between the two results,and conduct interviews with teachers and students to understand students’ relevant feelings and views on the use of microclasses,and further modify and improve the microclasses designed based on the ARCS model;Finally,the results of the entire study are summarized.Through the questionnaire,it is possible to know with a high probability that the overall learning motivation of senior high school students towards physics still needs to be improved.The micro-class design based on the ARCS motivation model does help to improve students’ motivation.In addition,the micro-class design based on the ARCS model in this article still needs to be further improved and improved.
