On April 8,2022,the Ministry of Education issued the "Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" and the "Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)".Among them,the "Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" continues to retain and add content in the fields of engineering and technology,adds content in humanities and arts such as the history of science and technology,recognizes mathematics as the foundation of science,and emphasizes interdisciplinary integration,which coincides with the concept of STEAM.The release of the new science curriculum standards will guide STEAM into a new journey of integrating science courses.In addition,the integration of STEAM and information technology courses is also a common way to implement STEAM courses in China.The "Information Technology Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" provides information technology as a separate course,and the status of information technology is enhanced,which provides more opportunities for the implementation of STEAM courses.Through the establishment and implementation of STEAM courses,it can not only cultivate students’ innovative thinking and innovative ability,but also help improve students’ core literacy.However,as an imported product,the STEAM course was full of problems during the implementation process,resulting in poor implementation results.This study adopts case study method,survey research method,text analysis method and other research methods,supported by relevant theories,draws on the experience of STEAM curriculum implementation at home and abroad,investigates and analyzes the implementation status of STEAM curriculum in primary schools in Shijiazhuang,summarizes the experience,problems and influencing factors of STEAM curriculum implementation in primary schools in Shijiazhuang City,and finally puts forward suggestions to promote the further implementation of STEAM curriculum in primary schools in Shijiazhuang City.This thesis consists of six parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes the formulation of research questions,research objectives,research significance,specific research problems,literature review,research innovations,research ideas and research methods.The second part is an overview of the STEAM course.It mainly includes the emergence and development of STEAM courses,the development process of STEAM courses in China,and the development of the implementation guarantee of STEAM courses in China.The third part is the investigation on the implementation status of STEAM curriculum in primary schools in Shijiazhuang.Three primary schools in Shijiazhuang were selected as the survey objects,and the interview,observation and text analysis methods were used to understand the basic situation of the implementation of the STEAM curriculum in Shijiazhuang case primary schools,and the understanding or perception of the STEAM curriculum of the curriculum implementation subjects,the design of the STEAM teaching plan,the organization of STEAM teaching,the specific implementation of STEAM teaching,and the implementation effect of STEAM lessons were described.The fourth part is experience and problems in the implementation of STEAM curriculum in Shijiazhuang primary schools.Through the analysis of the implementation status of STEAM curriculum in Shijiazhuang case primary schools,the useful experience and existing problems in the implementation of STEAM curriculum in Shijiazhuang primary schools are summarized.The fifth part is the influencing factors of the implementation of the STEAM curriculum in primary schools in Shijiazhuang.Based on the analysis of the implementation status of STEAM curriculum in Shijiazhuang case primary schools,the influencing factors of STEAM curriculum implementation in Shijiazhuang were analyzed from three aspects: curriculum planning,school internal and external to the school.The sixth part is suggestions for promoting the implementation of the STEAM curriculum in primary schools in Shijiazhuang.Based on the problems found,drawing on the experience of mature regions of STEAM education,suggestions are made from six aspects: curriculum objectives,curriculum content,curriculum implementation methods,teaching modes,teaching evaluation,and teacher training.The seventh part is the conclusion.Summarize the strengths and weaknesses of this study and put forward future prospects.
