Research On The Influence Of Farmers’ Three-child Birth Intention Under Urban And Rural Amphibious Background

In recent years,the fertility intention of Chinese residents has been declining,the number of newly born population has been decreasing,and the aging process has accelerated significantly,which in the long run will not be conducive to China’s economic development and social stability.Therefore,China implemented a comprehensive two-child policy in 2016 and a comprehensive three-child policy in2021.At the same time,with the advancement of urbanization,a large number of young and middle-aged people in rural areas flow into cities.Under the condition that the guarantee system of citizenization of migrant workers is still not perfect,the life mode of urban and rural amphibious has become the mainstream.It is of great practical significance to study the impact of urban and rural amphibious on the fertility intention of rural population to improve the three-child fertility intention in rural areas.Based on the existing scholars’ research on urban and rural amphibians and fertility intention,this paper selects the rural population in Shangqiu City who have two children and have urban and rural amphibian lifestyle as the research object,and conducts investigation and research through literature research,questionnaire survey and interview.Rebenstein’s cost-utility theory,children’s quantity and quality selection theory,"adaptation or integration hypothesis" and so on as theoretical support.The first part of the paper,combined with the current situation of low fertility rate and the background of comprehensive three-child policy,describes the purpose and significance of this study,and collates domestic and foreign research literature on urban and rural amphibians and fertility intention.The second part defines the concept of urban and rural amphibians,fertility intention,women of childbearing age,and sorts out the relevant theories.The third part of the questionnaire design,survey and sample characteristics,sample urban and rural amphibious status,sample triplet fertility intention analysis;The fourth part analyzes the influence of amphibious behavior on triplet intention through the construction of hypothesis and binary logic model,analysis and test of results.The fifth part of the research conclusion and policy enlightenment,that is to draw the conclusion of this study and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve fertility intention.The conclusions are as follows:(1)the rural population has a low willingness to have three children;(2)amphibious behavior in urban and rural areas significantly reduces the rural population’s willingness to have three children.And put forward the following suggestions: increase maternity subsidies and implement special preferential policies;Improve the education service system;Changing customs and limiting sky-high bride prices;Strengthen the construction of social security system and improve public service satisfaction;Strengthen gender equality and build a family-friendly society to support the three-child policy.
