Study On Social Work Intervention To Enhance Campus Adaptability Of Secondary Vocational College Students

As the country vigorously advocates the construction of knowledge-based,skill-based and innovative labor force and attaches great importance to the cultivation of vocational talents,the physical and mental health development of secondary vocational college students has drawn the attention of the society,and many scholars have also put forward numerous targeted opinions.Through observation,the author finds that the dropout rate of students in secondary vocational schools is generally high in the first year after enrollment,and this phenomenon is closely related to the students’ not well adapted to the life in secondary vocational schools.With the goal of improving and enhancing campus adaptability of students in secondary vocational colleges,this study carried out field survey by means of questionnaire,scale and interview.Sampled students in X technical College of Q City were surveyed from three dimensions of study,interpersonal communication and campus life,and spss data analysis was conducted.It is found that the campus adaptability of secondary vocational college students is affected by individual,family and school factors.Then,based on the survey data analysis results,combined with the advantage perspective theory,social support theory and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,group work was used as the main method to carry out social work intervention.Before the intervention,a detailed group service plan was made,and 12 first-year students from secondary vocational colleges were organized to carry out 5 group adaptation activities.In the process of intervention,social work skills should be used to actively channel their negative emotions,explore their own advantages,strengthen their social support network,improve students’ learning ability,interpersonal skills and life adaptability,and help them better integrate into the new environment.After the intervention,the scale was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the group service.The evaluation results showed that there were significant differences in the scores of the group members in the two tests before and after the intervention of the group work.It can be considered that the learning adaptability,interpersonal adaptability,life adaptability and overall campus adaptability of the 12 students had been greatly improved,and the intervention of the group work had a significant effect.Finally,on the basis of the existing research,it is proposed to strengthen the publicity of social work and introduce professional services.Pay attention to excavate students’ own advantages,enhance the inner strength;Promote the establishment of "home school community" linkage mechanism,broaden the support network and other measures and suggestions to improve the campus adaptability of secondary vocational college students.The results show that the campus maladjustment in secondary vocational schools is closely related to students’ own factors,family factors and school factors.Through the study of school group work,it is found that effective school group work can intervene in the campus maladjustment of secondary vocational college students.The intervention of social work enables students to better define their learning objectives,promote interpersonal communication,enhance self-care ability,and finally improve the ability of students to adapt to campus life.However,the social work quality and social work mechanism of secondary vocational colleges need to be further improved.
