Vocational guidance is one of the important work contents of secondary vocational schools.The quality of its work is related to the quality of a series of development of students’ major choice,learning interests,learning habits,academic planning and career planning,which has a profound influence on students’ future academic and career development.The key to the quality of vocational guidance education in secondary vocational schools lies in the quality of the construction of vocational guidance teachers.In recent years,China has issued a series of policy documents that explicitly propose to strengthen the construction of vocational guidance teachers in secondary vocational schools,improve the construction quality of vocational guidance teachers in secondary vocational schools,and further clarify the direction of the construction of vocational guidance teachers.Therefore,based on relevant research methods such as interviews and questionnaires,this article takes G School as an investigation point to conduct in-depth research on the construction of its teacher team.The survey found that there are prominent problems in the construction of the vocational guidance teacher team in the school,such as poor work effectiveness,low stability of the teacher team,insufficient number of professional personnel,insufficient professionalism,and weak enthusiasm for teachers’ work.Through analysis,it is found that the reasons behind it can be summarized as follows: Firstly,the organizational setting requirements and job specifications are not clear;Second,lack of awareness of vocational guidance;Third,the effectiveness of cultivation and promotion is insufficient;The fourth is the lack of management system.In order to improve the construction level of vocational guidance teachers in secondary vocational schools and solve the current obstacles,the following measures need to be taken: first,deepen the understanding of vocational guidance work;The second is to improve the professional level of vocational guidance teachers;The third is to stimulate the enthusiasm of vocational guidance teachers through institutional reform;Fourth,it is necessary to optimize institutional settings and stabilize the contingent of vocational guidance teachers;Fifth,we need to integrate resources to promote the long-term development of vocational guidance teachers.
