In 2022,the Ministry of Education issued the Geography Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education,highlighting the connection between geography curriculum content and students’ existing experience and social life,strengthening the integration of knowledge within disciplines,and coordinating the design of comprehensive curricula;Excavate the geographical things,geographical phenomena and geographical problems around students,so that students have a sense of substitution in the process of learning,and arouse their interest in learning and desire for exploration."local geographic materials" is one of the important contents of geography teaching in middle schools,and studying the application of local geographic materials in junior high school geography teaching in Lhasa is conducive to improving the professional development of teachers in ethnic minority areas and giving play to the teaching function of local geographic materials,and promoting the implementation of the new curriculum reform and quality education in Tibet.Guided by cognitive learning theory,humanistic theory and critical period theory,this study aims at the goal of compulsory education geography curriculum reform and the practical needs of local geographic materials in junior high school teaching,and after reviewing the literature on local geographic materials,this study understands the current status of relevant research at home and abroad,clarifies the purpose and significance of thesis research,puts forward research ideas and methods,and defines relevant concepts such as rural land,rural land theory,and rural land management materials.In addition,the rural land physical graphics materials that can be directly integrated with teaching materials in Lhasa have been scientifically classified and systematically sorted.Taking Lhasa City as the research object,12 teachers and 580 students from three junior high schools in Lhasa were selected as the survey objects to understand the students’ understanding of rural land management,the importance of schools and teachers to rural land management,students’ cognition of rural land management materials in Lhasa,and students’ attitude towards the integration of rural land management materials into classroom teaching.The research results show that due to the lack of corresponding support from schools,the constraints of some teachers’ traditional concept of examination-oriented education,the limited ability of teachers,and the lack of guarantee of safety when going out,Lhasa City does not pay enough attention to local geographic materials teaching,students’ awareness of local geographic materials knowledge is low,and teachers fail to make full use of Lhasa’s local geographic materials to carry out geography classroom teaching,but students are more motivated to learn local geographic materials knowledge Most teachers support teaching using rural land management materials.In view of the application status and comparative experiments of local geographic materials in junior high school geography classrooms in Lhasa,combined with my own teaching experience and consulting with excellent teachers in the same industry,the author proposes corresponding solution strategies: strengthen the learning of new curriculum standards,implement quality education,improve teachers’ quality,enhance the reserve of local geographic materials knowledge,improve the development and utilization capacity of local geographic materials courses,use local geographic materials to develop school-based characteristic courses,coordinate multiple forces,establish a local geographic materials practice base,and strengthen regional cooperation.Establish a rural land management resource bank in Lhasa.On the basis of scientific classification and systematic sorting of local geographic materials and text materials in Lhasa,according to the design principles of locality,interestingness,scientificity and subjectivity,the application process of local geographic materials cases is designed,the integration framework of local geographic materials in Lhasa and the geography teaching content of junior high school is integrated,and the teaching and after-school practice cases of local geographic materials in Lhasa are designed.In order to analyze the feasibility and importance of the application of local geographic materials in the geography teaching classroom of Lhasa,the author used classroom observation method and questionnaire survey method to study the longitudinal comparative experiment of integrating local geographic materials into geography classroom teaching in junior high school,and the results show that the integration of local geographic materials in Lhasa geography classroom can better transform students’ learning style,stimulate students’ interest and motivation in learning,enhance students’ patriotism and love for the country,and enhance students’ taste of life and spiritual experience.At the same time,it is conducive to promoting the improvement of teachers’ own professional ability,and provides reference experience for the development and utilization of rural land management materials in Lhasa.
