In the post-epidemic era,the traditional scientific research methods and scientific and technological forms are gradually changing.Facing the challenges of how to deal with the layout of new scientific and technological innovation,adapt to the new situation of scientific and technological innovation and development,and cultivate new innovative scientific and technological talents in the future,not only the state has continuously introduced a series of new policies to accelerate education reform,but also front-line educators are constantly thinking and practicing.According to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,junior high school physics teaching should focus on the penetration of the nature of physics,scientific and rigorous experiments,in order to comprehensively and profoundly cultivate students ’ scientific literacy,hands-on ability as the goal,pay full attention to the overall development and comprehensive ability of students.However,due to the pressure of entering a higher school and the actual situation of students ’ learning situation,most of the physics classroom teaching modes in junior high school are the combination of teaching method and teacher demonstration experiment.A few students ’ experiments are only repeated step by step according to the steps and methods of teaching materials and experimental report manuals,and a single law and conclusion are obtained.Students not only lack interest in scientific inquiry,but also have a weak system of knowledge points.Therefore,how to improve students ’ interest in physical science inquiry,enhance the logic of knowledge framework structure,and improve the knowledge system is an urgent problem to be solved.It is also the key to cultivate students ’ comprehensive literacy and improve their physical performance.This paper takes physics,a natural science subject,as the starting point,based on the STEAM education concept,combined with PBL teaching method,Bruner ’s cognitive structure teaching theory and Rogers ’ emotional teaching theory,and takes the requirements of the new curriculum standard as the core guiding ideology.The extracurricular practice of junior high school physics is designed to make up for the shortcomings of traditional basic physics classroom teaching and improve the quality of physics teaching.The teaching mode based on STEAM education concept can focus on solving real life problems in real situations,so that students can acquire knowledge,understand knowledge and apply knowledge in the process of solving problems,and cultivate students ’ key abilities,guide them to establish correct values and enhance their interest in learning.On the premise of not breaking the original rhythm of classroom physics teaching,extracurricular practice,as a supplement and application of extracurricular physics learning,also helps to improve the effect of physics teaching.In the study,the author first studied and interpreted the domestic education background and related policies,and roughly sorted out the basic research situation of STEAM education concept at home and abroad and the practice of related courses by consulting relevant literature,so as to understand the core connotation of STEAM education concept and the function of extracurricular practice course in the whole junior middle school physics teaching curriculum system,and analyze the feasibility of extracurricular practice design studied in this topic,so as to provide theoretical support for subsequent research.Secondly,through the research and analysis of the existing relevant STEAM curriculum design and extracurricular practice design,this paper summarizes the advantages of the existing extracurricular practice cases,and finds that the characteristics of physics in the existing cases are not obvious,and the guiding role of physics teaching is not strong.Based on the development needs of students and the needs of subject teaching,through questionnaires and teacher interviews,students and some teachers in the 8th and 9th grade of our school were investigated on the development of physics extracurricular practice and students ’ physics learning in junior high school.To understand the learning needs and ideal teaching mode and evaluation mode of students in our school for physics extracurricular practice,analyze the current situation of physics teaching and physics extracurricular practice in our school,find out the shortcomings of the existing development of extracurricular practice in our schoolthe lack of integrity of extracurricular practice structure,scattered teaching content,less core content of physics,single form of students ’ hands-on practice,etc.The results of this questionnaire survey are used as a reference for the follow-up extracurricular practice development,which provides support for the design of junior high school physics extracurricular practice in line with the learning situation of our students.Combined with the analysis results,according to the research objectives and research contents of this topic,the research results of this paper are explained in the fourth section of the second chapter,and three cases of extracurricular practice design of junior high school physics based on STEAM concept are presented.In terms of design,the determination of teaching objectives,the design of teaching activities,the preparation of practical equipment,the application of evaluation methods,and the infiltration of STEAM education concepts are introduced in detail.In this process,the characteristics of junior high school physics extracurricular practice are reflected,and the design ideas of junior high school physics extracurricular practice are systematically displayed.Based on the teaching practice of two semesters,the course designed by this topic infiltrates STEAM into the design and implementation of junior high school physics extracurricular practice,and collects a series of students ’ scientific and technological works.And from the diversified level of physics teaching and student evaluation,respect for students ’ diversity,personalized development,widely improve students in science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics all-round learning ability and accomplishment,cultivate students ’ cognitive ability,cooperation ability,innovation ability,mobilize students ’ enthusiasm for learning junior high school physics,cultivate students ’ ability and concept of junior high school physics learning.At the same time,as a practical exploration project,it makes up for the shortcomings of simplification in the existing school curriculum teaching,and realizes the organic combination of general education and innovative quality education in the school.In the process of curriculum design and research practice,it constantly looks for the research and development rules of junior high school physics extracurricular practice,forms the research plan of curriculum design,and also provides cases and experience for the design of diversified extracurricular practice courses in other disciplines.
