| Our country is in the stage of rapid development,what the country and society need is innovative and practical talents.Geography practice ability is an important part of geography core literacy.With the continuous promotion of the new curriculum reform,geography educators pay more and more attention to the cultivation of students’ geography practice ability.As an important part of geography teaching materials in junior middle school,local geography resources play an important role in cultivating students’ geography practice ability.Rational use of local geography resources to carry out geography practice teaching not only helps to enhance students’ interest in learning geography,but also can cultivate students’ local feelings.At present,local geography resources have not been fully excavated in the cultivation of geography practice ability,so the research on how to effectively use local geography resources to cultivate students’ geography practice ability will effectively promote the landing of geography curriculum standards.Through the method of literature research,this paper collated the relevant concepts and research trends,analyzed and integrates the geography curriculum standards,teaching materials,Shangqiu local geography resources and geography practice training.On this basis,a questionnaire was designed to summarize the shortcomings of junior high school students’ geography practice ability training and local resources in practical teaching,and put forward the ways to cultivate geography practice ability based on local geography resources.The main contents of this study were as follows:Firstly,a survey was conducted to investigate the current status of cultivating middle school students’ geographic practical skills in local geographic resources,and the results showed that middle school teachers lacked understanding of geographic practical skills and local geographic resources.The activities related to geographic practice were limited and the local geographic resources were not fully developed and utilized.Additionally,there were significant obstacles to implementing research and study tour programs.Secondly,a thorough analysis was conducted on the compatibility between local geographic resources and the cultivation of geographic practical skills.The results showed that there was a significant amount of content related to local geographic resources in the geography textbooks and curriculum standards.Moreover,these contents were closely related to the cultivation of geographic practical skills.Combined with the results of the exploration of local geographic resources in Shangqiu,it was found that conducting research and study travel activities had significant advantages.Finally,based on the survey and compatibility analysis,this study adopted the approach of local geographic research and study travel to cultivate middle school students’ geographic practical skills,with a focus on the exploration of local geographic resources.The design of research and study travel mainly included three aspects: principles of research and study travel design,strategies of research and study travel design,and process design of research and study travel.With the theme of "Revisiting Mulan’s Journey and Experiencing the Charm of Shangqiu’s Local Geography," a research and study travel program that reflected the characteristics of Shangqiu’s geography was designed to cultivate students’ geographic practical skills in terms of willpower and action ability.The main contents of this study were summarized,and prospects were proposed to provide references for future researchers and frontline teachers. |
