Research On Social Work Intervention In Family Stress During Covid-19 Pandemic

The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019 swept the globe,causing an immeasurable impact on the stable development of the whole society,and it also had different impacts on every family.In the event of such a public health emergency,family conflicts may increase or intensify,leading to threats to family stability to varying degrees.The sudden crisis exposed various problems of some families and their lack of development ability.Many families were unprepared when coping with the sudden crisis due to the changes in family environment,family structure and other factors.With the development of society,various factors will continue to influence families,so families must improve their ability to cope with and solve increasingly complex problems.When the family’s own ability is insufficient,external support becomes critical.One of the important areas of social work services is family service,which is committed to providing various support services for families in need.Helping people to help themselves is the purpose and feature of social work.On the one hand,social work services can help families alleviate or solve current problems;on the other hand,social work can empower families,so as to enhance their ability to better cope with future risks.During the COVID-19 epidemic,can social work services truly meet the needs of families? From this point of view,this study takes J Street in Beijing as an example to carry out a survey,with professional social workers,community residents and community workers as the survey objects,and uses questionnaire and interview methods to collect data.Through sorting out and analyzing data and written materials,it is learned that during the COVID-19,the services provided by social work when intervening in families are mainly offline services(such as personnel screening,material distribution,etc.)and online services(such as psychological counseling,information consulting,etc.).At the same time,it also found the problems of low participation and lack of professionalism in social work services,and analyzed the causes of the problems.Finally,based on the challenges that family development will face in the post epidemic era and the resulting demand for family services,this paper attempts to propose ways to improve family social work service capacity by strengthening institutional and professional construction from the macro,meso and micro levels,hoping to improve the quality of family services brought about by social work,improve family social support,and then improve family capacity and wellbeing.
