Since the promulgation of the 2022 edition of the new curriculum for compulsory education,core literacy and the transmission and development of excellent Chinese traditional culture have attracted much attention.As one of the brightest pearls in the excellent Chinese traditional culture,the teaching of ancient poems is important for enhancing students’ cultural heritage,developing their language skills and cultivating their core literacy.However,there are still many problems in the daily teaching of ancient poems,such as focusing on single-part teaching but neglecting overall teaching,focusing on teacher-led but neglecting student-led teaching.How to fundamentally improve students’ language literacy and ability? The conflict between teaching ideals and teaching realities has pushed teachers to seek more appropriate and complementary ways of teaching.Group reading teaching seeks to better grasp the inner connections between poems and to stimulate the unlimited vitality of the poetry classroom through an independent,cooperative and inquiry approach,showing its unique superiority.In this paper,we analyze the problems of group reading teaching of ancient poems in junior high school through literature reading and case studies,and then discuss them and propose targeted teaching strategies.The paper is divided into five parts: the introductory part introduces the origin,status quo,method and significance of the study;the first chapter analyzes the current problems of group reading teaching in "topic setting","group text selection" and "teaching organization";the second chapter starts from the theoretical basis and elaborates the concept of "group reading" and the connotation of its related elements,and at the same time,based on practice,analyzes the requirements of the new curriculum and the unified textbook for teaching ancient poetry,specifying and standardizing the two major directions;based on the above analysis,the third chapter proposes targeted practical strategies from three levels: "topic setting","group text selection" and "teaching organization";the fourth chapter is a teaching analysis and reflection to illustrate the feasibility of the teaching strategies,hoping to provide some practical reference for front-line teachers.
