| As a consolidation and extension of classroom teaching,primary school Chinese homework not only helps students identify and fill in gaps,but also enables Chinese teachers to reflect on their teaching in a timely manner.Since the national policy of "double reduction" was promulgated in July 2021,how to assign one’s own Chinese homework after class without reducing quantity or quality,reduce students’ academic burden,and thus promote their comprehensive physical and mental development.This not only requires Chinese language teachers to carefully consider,but also the key to implementing the "double reduction" policy.This study takes Chinese teachers and students in the middle and senior grades of M Primary School in Bozhou City as the object of investigation.Using research methods such as literature research and text analysis,a questionnaire survey was conducted among320 students and 43 Chinese teachers in the middle and senior grades of M Primary School,and 5 teachers were selected for interviews.According to relevant research,since the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,there are still many problems in Chinese homework for middle and senior grades in primary schools.Such as teachers’ weak awareness of homework values,inadequate supervision and management of schools,deviations in parents’ educational concepts,and poor students’ learning consciousness.After conducting in-depth research,it was found that the reasons for these problems are as follows.Firstly,Chinese language teachers invest less time in homework design,pay insufficient attention to the design of homework after class,and lack communication among teachers in various subjects regarding homework assignments;Secondly,the school has inadequate supervision of teachers in homework design,inadequate implementation of homework management systems,and improper connection between after-school services and homework;Then,parents’ educational concepts need to be changed.For example,parents have a strong demand for high scores,and their understanding of homework needs to be biased;Finally,students’ concept of homework needs to be changed.For example,students’ interest in completing homework is not high,and students lack self-awareness in completing homework.Based on the above reasons,this study proposes corresponding opinions on problem-solving from four perspectives:schools,teachers,parents,and students.Firstly,Chinese language teachers should establish a correct outlook on homework,not only designing homework carefully after class,but also diversifying their methods of correction and evaluation;Secondly,schools should strengthen the management and guidance of homework design,actively carry out relevant homework design training;Then,parents should change their educational concepts and actively evaluate their children’s homework;Finally,students should correct their learning attitude and enhance their autonomy in learning.Through the above strategies,we can fundamentally provide theoretical and practical reference for solving the problems existing in Chinese homework for middle and senior grades in primary schools. |
