Starting from the autumn term of 2022,the unified edition of Chinese textbooks for senior high schools has been fully used nationwide,it is important to conduct a thorough study of the unified version of the textbooks in order to implement the concepts,requirements and contents of the textbooks in all aspects of teaching in general high schools by 2025.At the same time,the new language standards for senior secondary schools explicitly call for an “understanding of diverse cultures”,guiding students to absorb the essence of the cultures of the world’s peoples,and the foreign literature in the textbooks is an important vehicle for multicultural education.Therefore,the thesis takes the selection of foreign literary works in the unified version of the high school language textbooks as the object of study,using literature research,comparative analysis and graphical analysis.This book is intended as a reference and reference for front-line teachers.The thesis consists of three parts: the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introductory part introduces the origin of the topic,the significance of the study,the current status of the study,the research methodology and defines the relevant concepts.The main text consists of four parts.The first chapter compares the selection of foreign literature in the Uniform Edition and the Humanities Education Edition in two dimensions: the selection system and the reading aid system,and finds that the Uniform Edition has introduced innovations in the assignment system and layout structure,setting up unit study(research)tasks and clusters of tasks for the study of works by foreign authors related to foreign literature and cross-cultural seminars,and adding a new section on the reading aid system.The second chapter summarizes the characteristics of the selection of foreign literary works in the unified version of high school language textbooks.The text selection system focuses on enhancing core language literacy,emphasizes self-reading lessons,features a wide distribution of selected texts and a variety of genres,the reading aid system emphasizes guided learning and respects the law of students’ cognitive development,the assignment system emphasizes students’ subject status,focuses on contextualization,integration and comprehensive and practical activities,and the arrangement system The assignment system emphasizes students’ subjectivity,contextualization,integration,and comprehensive and practical activities.The third chapter based on the selected features of foreign selected texts in the unified version of the textbook,puts forward suggestions for teaching foreign literary works from three perspectives: using the textbook reasonably and efficiently,implementing learning task group teaching,and closely following the features of foreign selected texts,such as highlighting the focus of the unit,attaching importance to learning prompts,integrating learning resources and creating learning contexts,and strengthening background supplementation to promote cross-cultural understanding.The fourth chapter combines the teaching suggestions of foreign selected texts in the unified textbook with the teaching design of the novel,poetry and drama genres under the task group of “Study of Foreign Writers”,aiming to provide some teaching guidance for teachers who use the unified textbook to teach foreign selected texts.
