| School bullying has become increasingly acute in Chinese primary and secondary schools.According to a survey,it is estimated that 324 students have been bullied on a base of 1000.Campus bullying, like a stumbling block, affects the physical and psychological development of students, hinders the sound personality of students, and causes indelible spiritual damage to students. This study takes school bullying as the research content, and uses the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES),the Coping Style Scale for Middle School Students(CSSMSS),and the Olweus Child Bullying Questionnaire(Junior high school version)to conduct a questionnaire survey on 1000 secondary vocational school students,to explore how school bullying is affected by self-efficacy and coping style and the correlation among the three. The results are as follows:(1)Boys,excellent students, students whose parents adopt democratic upbringing, students living in a family with happy marriage, students with a good relationship between teachers and students have higher self-efficacy.(2)Students with excellent academic performance, democratic parenting style and good teacher-student relationship are more likely to use positive coping styles when dealing with problems. The students with authoritarian parenting style and poor teacher-student relationship used more negative coping styles.(3)Self-efficacy and coping styles have an impact on the dimensions of social exclusion and attitude towards bullying.Students with higher self-efficacy and more often adopt positive coping styles to solve problems have a more positive attitude towards bullying and lower social exclusion.(4)Self-efficacy and coping style can predict attitudes towards social exclusion and bullying, and coping style has a mediating effect between self-efficacy and attitudes towards social exclusion and bullying.(5)During the interview with the students, the author found that the understanding of the secondary vocational school students is still unclear. Most of the students think that the school bullying is only physical violence, and the cognition of the recessive bullying behaviors such as name-calling,intentional derogation, reputation destruction, isolation and rumor spreading is not clear,so they are often at a loss in these forms of bullying. And indifferent to the suffering of others.Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions are made: First, the school should create a good learning environment to help students improve their academic performance and strengthen the good foundation of teacher-student relationship so as to promote the improvement of the self-efficacy of secondary vocational students.Second,it should create a loving and warm family atmosphere where parents raise their children in a democratic way so as to cultivate students’ positive coping style.Third,it should focus on cultivating students’ sense of community so as to improve bullying attitudes.A three-pronged approach to reducing bullying in schools. |
