| In recent years,Guangdong Province has attached great importance to regional coordinated development.However,the brain drain in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong remains one of the important factors restricting their economic and social development.Due to their relatively high level of education and strong comprehensive abilities,college graduates have become an important talent resource for the development of underdeveloped regions in Guangdong.In recent years,various types of talent policies have been introduced in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong to attract college graduates to return to their hometown for employment.This study explores the impact of such talent policies on the willingness of college graduates to return to their hometown for employment.Firstly,this study combed the talent policies of underdeveloped regions in Guangdong in recent years,and combined with the employment quality reports of relevant universities to understand the current situation of college graduates returning home for employment in underdeveloped regions in Guangdong.Secondly,referring to relevant literature and based on the talent policy documents,a research questionnaire was designed.Then,using SPSS26.0 to analyze the obtained data,we can understand the willingness of college graduates in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong to return to their hometown for employment under the current talent policies,verify the understanding of talent policies in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong and the significant relevance of various policy dimensions to the willingness of college graduates to return to their hometown for employment.Finally,based on the issues of talent policies in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong reflected in the survey results,we propose relevant policy recommendations.After research and analysis,it is found in the descriptive analysis that college graduates do not have a high understanding of the underdeveloped regions of Guangdong,with only27.84% of college graduates choosing to return to the underdeveloped regions of Guangdong for employment,while the employment of college graduates in this area tends to be in institutional units.It is found that there are significant differences between gender,hometown and residence,and between college graduates’ understanding of talent policies in Underdeveloped regions in Guangdong,while there are significant differences between college graduates’ willingness to return to their hometown for employment,such as their academic qualifications,professional categories,and employment tendencies upon graduation It is found that different talent dimensions have different impacts on college graduates’ willingness to return to their hometown for employment.The dimensions of talent living treatment policy and talent supporting service policy have a significant impact on the willingness of college graduates to return to their hometown for employment,with a positive correlation.However,the dimensions of talent policy understanding,talent entrepreneurship support,and talent cultivation incentive policy have no significant impact on the willingness of college graduates to return to their hometown for employment.Finally,in order to achieve the goal of promoting more college graduates from underdeveloped regions in Guangdong to return home for employment,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. |
