| Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of China’s economy and the steady acceleration of urbanization, cities have provided better development prospects and employment opportunities.More and more people have begun to flock to cities, creating a group of floating population, and the scale has expanded year by year.In this group,it also includes the special group of ethnic minorities.Unlike ordinary floating populations, minority floating populations face more problems and challenges in urban community life.Poor language communication, single lifestyle, different cultural habits, low level of education, lack of relevant job skills, and single employment channels and positions. At the same time, due to the influence of kinship and geographical concepts, there is not much interaction with urban residents, with narrow social support networks, low community participation, and a lack of sense of belonging; The lack of understanding among urban residents leads to stereotypes and prejudices, which make the minority floating population bear more pressure in community life than the ordinary floating population. Therefore,it is necessary to study the issue of community integration of ethnic minority floating population and conduct research and effective intervention on the better integration of ethnic minority floating population into urban communities from the perspective of social work intervention.Lanzhou City,as the capital city of Gansu Province and the transportation hub of the entire northwest region,is an important node city of the Silk Road Economic Belt, attracting a large number of floating ethnic minority populations inside and outside the province. This study selected X Community in Qilihe District,Lanzhou City as the research object.Through household visits, participation observation, questionnaire survey, and interviews, data were collected to analyze the current situation of community life of ethnic minority floating population in X Community from four aspects: economic status, social support, cultural adaptation, community participation, and psychological status.Later, case interviews were conducted to further understand the problems of ethnic minority floating population in community integration.Based on the advantage perspective and social support network theory, this article deeply explores the reasons why it is difficult for the minority floating population in X Community of Lanzhou City to integrate into the community from three levels: individual, family, and society. To address these issues,we have used group work methods to enhance the integration of ethnic minority floating population communities through eight group activities. In addition, the article also evaluates the process and results of these activities, and based on the correct understanding and handling of this issue,it is proposed that to address the current low level of community integration of ethnic minority migrant populations in China,it is necessary to increase the training of professional community workers, cultivate professional social workers, and let communities and social workers work together to promote the life of ethnic minority migrant populations in urban communities Fusion. |
