| The Ministry of Education’s "Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Task of Establishing a Moral Education" points out that it is important to improve students’ ability to analyze and solve problems comprehensively;to make full use of modern information technology to improve teaching methods and adapt to students’ individual learning needs.In 2018,the Ministry of Education promulgated the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of High-level Undergraduate Education to Comprehensively Improve Talent Cultivation,which proposed to center on student development,deepen teaching reform around stimulating students’ learning interests and potentials,actively promote blended teaching,strengthen the management of the learning process,and attach importance to formative assessment,which clarified the direction for physical education teaching reform;the focus of physical education teaching reform is to give full play to students’ subjectivity,cultivate their ability to analyze and solve problems,and attach importance to the cultivation of comprehensive abilities."The Sport Education Model aims to guide students to become well-rounded athletes and to help them develop into capable,literate and enthusiastic learners,a goal that is highly consistent with the philosophy advocated in our physical education reform.This study takes the application of sports education model in the general basketball class of physical education colleges as the research object,and takes Class9 and Class 12 of Physical Education Major 2022 of Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education as the experimental object;the research methods such as literature method,experimental method,questionnaire survey method and Delphi method are used to conduct the study.With the purpose of optimizing the organization form of physical education classroom,promoting the benign reform of physical education teaching,and finding the most suitable teaching mode for the general basketball course of undergraduate physical education majors,the findings of the study are as follows:1.The improvement of students’ basketball-specific physical abilities by the sports education model was basically the same as skill mastery-style teaching,and there was no significant difference between the two groups.2.The experimental results show that both teaching modes are conducive to strengthening students’ basic basketball skills,and the motor education mode is more effective for skill enhancement;skill mastery teaching is more effective for improving basketball technical normality.3.The sports education model has significant effects in improving students’ psychological quality.The cooperative learning and partner learning method in the sports education model can create a good learning atmosphere for students,which can motivate them to play sports,improve their learning attitude level,and develop their emotional performance and cooperative spirit in order to get better basketball performance.4.According to the results of the survey on the satisfaction of teaching in general basketball courses and students’ self-evaluation,it was found that the ratings of satisfaction of teaching quality and satisfaction of teaching effect in the sports teaching mode were higher than those of skill mastery teaching,which were recognized by the students.Based on the problems found in the application of the sports education model in the general basketball course,the following five suggestions are made: the use of the teaching model should be adapted to the needs of students;students’ basketball theoretical knowledge should be strengthened;attention should be paid to the harmonious development of the class atmosphere;the teaching experiment cycle should be extended appropriately;teachers should keep abreast of the times,be active and strive to improve their professionalism.The "sports education model" has unique advantages in China’s higher education institutions of physical education,which helps to achieve multiple educational purposes and meets the needs of physical education reform and development in colleges and universities,and is worthy of our reference and promotion. |
