Research On Social Work Intervention In Urban Community Home-based Elderly Care Services From The Perspective Of Social Support Theor

According to the seventh national census data in 2020,the elderly population aged 60 and above in Guizhou Province is 5,931,400,accounting for 15.38%,and the elderly population aged 65 and above is 4,456,500,accounting for 11.56%.The province’s elderly population is large,the aging speed is fast,the pension service problem is becoming more and more prominent,the whole society pension pressure is increasing.In this context,community home care as a new mode of pension has attracted more and more attention.Compared with traditional family pension(children support)and institutional pension,the community home-based pension model has many advantages and has become the first choice of most elderly people.This paper is based on the author as a social work professional intern into Guiyang M community social work station internship,aiming at M community specific research.From the theoretical perspective of social support theory,the author distributed,recovered and analyzed the data of the elderly in M community through visits and field research.From the general situation of the community,the basic situation of the elderly and the general situation of the community pension service station,the author analyzed the current situation of home care service in M community,and found that there were problems of insufficient formal support and weak informal support.Meanwhile,the survey shows that the needs of the elderly in the community are mainly reflected in the needs of medical care,spiritual comfort,life care and recreational needs.Based on this,the author uses case work method to strengthen the social support network for the elderly living alone,group work method to build a community mutual aid platform for the elderly and community work method to build a multi-subject linkage mechanism,carries out interventional services around the needs of the elderly,and helps the elderly in the community to achieve "some support,some support,some happiness,and some security for the elderly".Under the guidance of the social support theory,the author finds that the community home care service cannot be separated from the participation of all social forces through the evaluation of the practical process.The application of social support theory is consistent with the practical needs of the elderly in M community,which is conducive to the integration of resources to strengthen social support for the community home care service objects;Social work intervention in urban community home care has achieved certain results.This paper studies and refines the practical experience of social work intervention in urban community home care service,in order to explore the practical path of community home care service development,and constantly improve the elderly’s sense of happiness,security and sense of gain,which has certain theoretical significance and practical value.
