Secondary vocational education(hereinafter referred to as "vocational education")is an important component of China’s education system,responsible for the important task of cultivating hundreds of millions of high-quality workers,and is an important foundation for China’s national economy and social development.Cultivating excellent skilled talents suitable for socio-economic development is the main training goal of secondary vocational education,which puts forward higher requirements for the physical fitness and professional technical abilities of students in secondary vocational schools.Therefore,how to effectively improve the physical fitness and exercise attitude of vocational school students has become an urgent problem to be solved in current vocational education.Functional sports games combine the relevant concepts of functional training with sports games,providing a new method for developing students’ physical and mental qualities,which is particularly important for vocational school students who value skill development.This paper adopts the methods of literature review,expert interview,questionnaire survey,measurement,experiment and mathematical statistics.Based on the theories of life education,formation and development of motor skills,and based on the analysis of the physical components and evaluation of physical fitness in the automotive repair major,a set of functional sports games is designed for students majoring in automotive repair in vocational schools by integrating the concepts of sports games and functional training,And selected first year students from two parallel classes in the automotive repair major of Tianjiabing Senior Vocational School in Dapu County,Meizhou City as the experimental subjects(experimental class: N=25,control class: N=28)for experimental research.The teaching experiment lasted for 12 weeks.Exploring its impact on the physical fitness and exercise attitude of vocational school students majoring in automobile repair,aiming to provide favorable references for the development of physical education and talent cultivation in vocational schools.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Functional sports games have significantly improved the general professional physical fitness of vocational school students majoring in automobile repair,especially for standing long jump and 6×6m.The improvement effect of the four indicators that require full body coordination,including 6m turn back running,single leg closed eye standing,and sitting forward bending,was very significant after the experiment.2.Functional sports games can significantly improve the professional physical fitness of vocational automotive repair students,as reflected in the three indicators of finger flexibility,motor coordination,and arm flexibility.The improvement effect is very significant after the experiment.3.Functional sports games can significantly improve the attitude of vocational school students towards physical exercise,form good exercise habits,and lay a good foundation for cultivating lifelong physical education.
