| Our country is a unified multi-ethnic country,all ethnic groups in the long-term historical development,close contact,unity and struggle,common development of the territory of the motherland,we have jointly created a long history and splendid culture of the Chinese nation.Multi-cultural collision,exchange,integration,to promote the development of Chinese culture,constitute a rich,diverse and unified tradition of ethnic culture.As a foreign culture sojourner,the new special post teachers in ethnic areas will face the problems of cultural adaptation such as ethnic language,custom and professional development.How teachers look at the differences between their own culture and foreign culture,how to balance and solve the problem of cultural adaptation,is the intention of the author’s research.The author studies the teaching stories of the new special post teachers in the minority areas from the micro-perspective and through the selected cases,and discusses them in depth with the help of the theories of cultural adaptation,etc.with a view to providing new ideas for the professional development of new special post teachers.The study found that new special post teachers in ethnic areas will face cultural adaptation problems such as language barrier,custom difference and professional development confusion when they first enter ethnic areas,to some extent,the abovementioned problems affect the efficiency of education and teaching,even affect teachers’;sense of educational efficacy,career choice and professional development.After a six-month field investigation,the author found that the new special post teacher,Xiao Q,experienced four stages of cultural adaptation: novelty,conflict,integration and creation,and the main contradictions in each stage are prominent.According to the research,we can further analyze the main factors that affect the process of cultural adaptation of the Xiao Q teachers.The study concluded that,the factors that affect the cultural adaptation of the teachers include interpersonal relationship,management model,cultural differences between urban and rural areas,ethnic language,eating habits and self-professional adjustment.In view of this,the author based on the theory of cultural adaptation and teacher professional development,this paper puts forward some measures,such as optimizing the organizational environment of rural schools,strengthening the cross-cultural training of special post teachers,strengthening the humanistic care for special post teachers and creating a good educational environment.Looking back on this research,the researcher has expanded the research field of rural teachers in terms of content,extended more possibilities of the research on the methodology of teacher education,and further enriched the theoretical research on the cultural adaptation of teachers in ethnic areas,it also brings practical enlightenment to optimize the rural teachers in ethnic areas. |
