| In recent years, the group of children left behind has caused great concern in all walks of life with the development of self-media.With the progress of urbanization, urban development requires a large number of migrant workers, which is difficult to solve under the limited economic conditions and the problem of children’s education.Under pressure, children are left behind in rural areas to be taken care of by grandparents or relatives. The lack of companionship from parents for a long time has a negative impact on the physical and mental health of children.According to the research,it is found that children who lack the companionship of their parents for a long time will have psychological problems.Since the emergence of the term "left-behind children" in 1994,malignant incidents of left-behind children have been reported one after another in the societyAt present, school is the main position for the education of left-behind children in rural areas. From the perspective of sports intervention, this study aims to improve the mental health level of rural left-behind children through physical exercise, and to provide research reference for improving the mental health level of rural left-behind children.Exercise intervention can improve mental health, improve metabolism, relax body and mind, and enhance students’ self-confidence;exercise intervention has a positive effect on the interpersonal relationship, positive emotion and loneliness tendency of left-behind children. In this paper, the methods of literature, expert interview, questionnaire, experiment and mathematical statistics were used to test the mental health.A total of 300 valid questionnaires were carried out, including 181 left-behind children,119 non-left-behind children,101left-behind boys and 80 left-behind girls.Intervention on the mental health of rural left-behind children in the fifth and sixth grades of Dongta Primary School to determine whether extracurricular sports intervention has a positive impact on the mental health level of rural left-behind children. The results of the experiment are as follows:1.Before the experiment,in addition to allergies and physical symptoms(allergic symptoms P=0.194,physical symptoms P=0.161),there were significant differences in other mental health factors between rural left-behind children and non-left-behind children(learning anxiety, anxiety about others, loneliness tendency,self-blame tendency, fear symptoms, and impulsive symptoms P were0.001**,0.043*,0.001**,0.001**,0.001**,0.003**,respectively).This demonstrates that rural left-behind children’s mental health is less developed than that of non-left-behind children, and that their mental health has to be raised.2.There was no significant difference in the scores of mental health factors between the experimental group and the control group before the exercise intervention; After exercise intervention, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in learning anxiety(P=0.001***),anxiety about people(P=0.001***),loneliness tendency(P=0.000***),total MHT score(P=0.000***),self-blame tendency(P=0.006**),impulsivity symptoms(P=0.006**),fear symptoms(P=0.011*),physical symptoms(P=0.060)was not significant.3.According to the scores of the mental health diagnostic scale before and after exercise intervention in the experimental group,it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in learning anxiety between the experimental group(P=0.000***),loneliness tendency(P=0.000***),and total MHT score(P=0.000***),and self-blame tendency(P=0.042**),impulsive symptoms(P=0.016**),anxiety about people(P=0.004**),and fear symptoms(P=0.008**)There was a very significant difference, and there was no significant difference between allergic symptoms(P=0.110)and physical symptoms(P=0.077).4.Through the backtest data after the summer vacation, the backtest data of the experimental group and the data of the experimental group before exercise intervention showed that there was a very significant difference in learning anxiety(P=0.004**),a significant difference in anxiety(P=0.040*),a significant difference in loneliness tendency(P=0.000***)and a total MHT score(P=0.000***).Compared with the backtest data of the experimental group and the experimental group after exercise intervention, there was no significant difference in the eight mental health factors, and the total MHT score(P=0.009**)had a very significant difference.Through the analysis of the score data of the experimental group, the control group and the back-tested mental health diagnosis scale before and after exercise intervention,we can draw the following conclusions: exercise intervention has a positive impact on the improvement of mental health level of rural left-behind children in Dongta Primary School. In the future, schools should provide targeted assistance to the mental health problems of left-behind children in rural areas. |
